Ironically, HPR--at least in Michigan--is comprised of many former wrestlers. Almost all of the Regional Managers are well known in the wrestling community, include "Michigan Grappler" who has a huge territory in SE Michigan. At least I find it ironic.

Ryan Churella's non-pin call against Johny Hendrinks probably ranks as the biggest robbery in NCAA history. This one is a close second, though.

Ask yourself this---was there anything Minkle could do to lose the same job at MSU? The school only cares if the program is without problems, and the kids are getting decent grades. Other than that, they don't give two craps about winning. I like Roger and Chris---but when you are the third best team in the State in the eyes of recruits, you don't always end up with the best talent.

I didn't view this much different than when Bo Nickal pinned Martin....and tried to help him up and Myles pushed him away. Competitors hate to lose, and doesn't matter how much of a good sport the opponent is.

Okay....I'll bite. I believe we all can agree that in the same situation with a questionable TD late in the match with Lilledahl, Mesenbrink, Haines, or Barr, the corner tosses the brick.

Does PSU pull his scholarship? If so, he may transfer and redshirt at a different program.

It is fair question, following the Quarterfinals match. Some may call it whining, but some believe he had a legitimate claim for a challenge, and the corner didn't even consider losing a brick. So does Davis feel his time there is done, and he heads to a different program who will respect him just as they would anyone of the other stars on the team? Just my view from the cheap seats........ (and no, I have not read ANY comments on here about it to date---only my thoughts after watching the match, and then watching again on replay).

If I am not mistaken, Nick Simmons lost 2---maybe 3---World Team trials by being on the wrong side of the ball grab.

The time it took this forum to transition from the end of the season to a political diatribe could be measured with an egg timer. If I am not mistaken, the only times that ESPN showed the President was when he walked in, and when Hendrickson saluted him. Your entire focus of this thread is on those two five-second clips.....out of the 2+ hours of action?!?! Really?? Heck, you spent more time making this post than ESPN spent showing him.

Hey, it happened in the NFL......with the same initials no less. NFL added millions of Taylor Damn Swift viewers by just showing her a few times during the broadcast.

I will go on record stating that I am good with either Henderson or Starocci---as I think most all wrestling people would be. Either selection has merit and that is not to disrespect the accomplishments of the one who would not awarded the honor.

As I mentioned earlier.........implement the International Challenge Rule, where if you lose the challenge, the opponent is awarded one point.

Not for nothing, but those of us fans who have been around wrestling for more than a minute can appreciate these close matches and the excitement, and fighting off shots and such, But tonight's championship--thus far---will do nothing to draw in new or casual fans who find the lack of scoring boring. My only hope that that ESPN keeps broadcasting the Championship.....but I fear the bottom line ($$$) may cast it to the winds....

Implement the International rule, where if you lose a challenge you give up 1 point.

This match certainly makes up for the previous ones....
