Why on earth would the public need their names so the left can doxx them and threaten and or harm their families ?  Especially as no one has deemed these murders except gwn

It's called accountability. ALL govt workers except some cia and other covert personnel should be identifiable and accountable. Definitely these scumbags.

You mean everyone knows who these masked ICE agents are? Especially when nobody at ICE tells the locals who they are?

They are masked because people started doxing them and their families…they wouldn’t need those mask if there weren’t nut jobs who want to put their family at risk because they don’t like the type of law enforcement they’ve been hired to do.  You’re not dealing with normal people here…when people want to identify them and hide behind “accountability”…it’s not the type of accountability a normal reasoned person would expect…

To be legitimate, ICE needs to wear uniforms, badges, and body cams....

JUST LIKE EVERY LEGITIMATE PUBLIC LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY IN THE COUNTRY

The only remaining question is simple. Who in the WH would prefer ICE to be a goon squad rather than LEO.

Bolded and all caps that one just to realize narcotics officers are plain clothed and don’t don’t display badges or body cams…they seem pretty legitimate

We should probably worry about people breaking the law more than making it easier for them to flee and avoid accountability. The only real question isn’t about the anyone in the White House currently, that’s a child’s argument, but why is that problem even there to begin with and at the level it is?

To be fair, those plain clothed narcotics officers you speak of are as such because they are working undercover...different role, different goals, different protocols than LEO who is making traffic stops, knocking on doors, showing up at workplaces and schools asking for paperwork, demanding individuals prove they belong here.  And even then, at the point of making an arrest, undercover police must identify themselves at that point when doing so.   If someone showed up at my home or workplace or tried to pull me over claiming to be executing LE duties I would want ID showing they are actually LE before proceeding.  That's just a basic tenant of our individual rights.  Just like there is doxxing, there are criminals portraying to be LE in order to commit their crimes.  There is no actual law that says they must identify themselves but the vast majority of jurisdictions have policy stating so.

That said, I completely agree with your premise.  We should worry about people who are breaking the law, either not breaking the law or being held accountable for doing so.  We should worry about people doxxing LEO for carrying out their duties, however a big piece of that is something of the questionable methods in which they have been carrying out their duties.  We definitely want to fight the bad guys, but what makes us better is fighting them the right way.  Accountability is a big part of that, because unfortunately sometimes LEO does bad things.    The vast majority of LEO are doing things the right way, but there are some that do not, hence the policies for identifying.

The comparison between narcotics officers and ICE have to do with the risk of evasion by their subjects, the dangers of being identified (which is only an issue with ICE because of the climate) and the need for an element of surprise to lower the risk of injury and/or death to all involved (not just agents). Yea upon arrest or contact present identification proving you are an ICE Agent. No issues with that. And most of your points go back to a point made the other day about Israel attacking while families are near…there are no safe bases, no time outs or any of that. You are 100% breaking the law and are somewhere you are not supposed to be. I’m sorry some of this has to be done at work places and everything too but guess what…that’s where they KNOW they’re going to find you. Telling people…alright man timeout…well come see you after work is crazy. We have to stop making it easier to flee or break the law…

Quick Side Note: Narco/under covers don’t have to identify themselves…they keep working undercover but move around etc.

Yes officers/agents do bad things but the majority do not…on that note the percentage of people here illegally have 100% (or 110% depending on how you math) are breaking the law already…others do far worse than that and I would venture to say that number is FAR higher than agents doing bad things.

You're wrong, child.

ICE is the very epitome of LEO gone wrong, and it is 100% purely from the direction of the WH.

Uniforms, openly worn badges with ID, and body cameras for every single one is what is needed to remedy the current problem.

In time - that may become more flexible. But for now, it is the bare minimum requirement for ICE.

In the ICE ranks are literally murderers we've all seen on video. They hide behind "policy" and that needs to stop, now.

You know you’ve lost your argument when you start to name call…but I’m the child, sure.

This uniform, displayed badge and body cams don’t stop regular LEO from murdering, raping, taking evidence etc etc. And I guarantee you they’re doing it more than ICE agents. You’re out here talking about things you have no idea about because you’re mad at an administration and you just want to win arguments. I gave tactical reasons on why they’re not necessary and how it would improve effectiveness and safety…you should have just sat this one out

And most of your points go back to a point made the other day about Israel attacking while families are near…there are no safe bases, no time outs or any of that. I do agree there are no safe bases.  I don’t agree it is comparable to a war with missles and grenadwes and suicide bombers.

You are 100% breaking the law and are somewhere you are not supposed to be. I’m sorry some of this has to be done at work places and everything too but guess what…that’s where they KNOW they’re going to find you. I have zero disageeement with you here.

Telling people…alright man timeout…well come see you after work is crazy. We have to stop making it easier to flee or break the law…As I said before I’m not arguing they should schedule an appointment to make an arrest   I didn’t even argue they shouldn’t show up at work or schools, what I said was, when doing so, they should be identifiable as law enforcement .   That is the safer method.  Part of the reason of what we’re seeing is because of rando dudes in masks coming up on people in public, not identifiable law enforcement, identifying themselves and clearing the area while carrying out their duties.  Think of it this way, if you are walking down the side walk and see some random dude in a mask roll up on a woman and child, are you more or less likely to intervene than if you saw the ICE jacket and heard the officer identifying themself as they were rolling up?

Quick Side Note: Narco/under covers don’t have to identify themselves…they keep working undercover but move around etc.  An important note left out in your statement here is where I said “at the point of arrest”.  If they get to the point of arrest they do have to have identify themselves.

Yes officers/agents do bad things but the majority do not…on that note the percentage of people here illegally have 100% (or 110% depending on how you math) are breaking the law already…others do far worse than that and I would venture to say that number is FAR higher than agents doing bad things. Don’t disagree here at all.  But it doesn’t mean the good guys shouldn’t do their good guy things the right way.

I’m not specifically referencing homes being swatted…the hope is the need for that is extremely limited and reserved for violent offenders etc. In that case they should have kit and treat it accordingly. I think we’re in agreement there.

I’m pretty sure you know I’m not saying they are combatants…

I agree, thought I said that before but apologies if I didn’t, that they should identify themselves after making contact. Pull out the badge and everything then.

We’ll have to agree on narcos having to identify themselves…they might as a witness in court but they don’t have to right then. Per numerous undercovers.

Good guys should do things the right way…I think we’re in agreement on most if not all things…the conversations come down to differentiations in types of  operations and tactics.

Wait, wait, wait.

You're saying uniforms, badges, and body cams don't stop LEO from being criminals. Ya think? How hard did you have to scrub your child brain to come up with something so incredibly obvious?

You sound like an anti-vax type who - because the vaccine isn't 100% effective - it must not work.

Or maybe an anti-birth-control type who - because none are 100% effective - they must not work.

I believe I've made my point. But in case you missed it, uniforms, badges, and body cams are the basic minimum we need to start reigning in the lawless ICE buffoons who are killing people in the right-here and right f'ing now scenario.

I bolded all of your tiny child brain comments above.

If you read them through, all things considered, they reflect poorly on you, son. Looks like you're arguing with yourself.
