How would you know what is better? You have no clue what the merits of 1 vs the other are. Right off the top of my head, I would say you are far less likely to lose your gloves in a conflict and have them used against you. Gloves don't need to be deployed if you are already wearing them. I'm sure there many other benefits you have no clue about.

One costs a f*** ton of money, and the other is cheap and plentiful from your local farm store.

This is like the old anecdote about the US space program spending millions developing a pen that works in space while the Russians used pencils.

Hi tech robo-mittens are the answer to absolutely nothing, unless the goal is to spend more of our taxpayer money.

I literally gave examples off the top of my head why you are wrong. You don't know what you are talking about, you just know you hate law enforcement.

I just literally gave you the information you need to gain a better perspective. Yet you failed.

Quality law enforcement is awesome - unless they are untrained, murderous, thugs pretending to play the role.

You are an exceptionally emotional little bugger.

First - calm down. If you want to 'zap' someone with a less-than-taser lever of zapiness...

  • Should we spend billions of taxpayer dollars to use 'magic' zappy gloves?
  • Or should we spend a tiny fraction of that using what is already a commodity tool?

The answer is still right here. C'mon man has nobody here ever lived on a farm?

This is an easy one. Taxpayers shouldn't have to spend billions for these...

do you know what the voltage difference are? Do you understand the need for rapid deployment? Do you understand the optics of using a cattle prod on people? Obviously no to all. This is because you are blinded by hate, driven by ignorance.

I'd be happy to address any and all of your discussion points.

  • do you know what the voltage difference are?
    • Voltage is incredibly easily modified. Not an issue whatsoever.
  • Do you understand the need for rapid deployment?
    • Do you understand the "easily" part of easily modified (Won't need dozens of millions of dollars.)
  • Do you understand the optics of using a cattle prod on people?
    • Do you understand that electrocuting people is the same by glove or by prod. Same optics

You said - "Obviously no to all. This is because you are blinded by hate, driven by ignorance."

This last one is the most telling. You've posted nothing but junk. You need to do better. I'm driven by truth.

You still want to double down on stupid.

So now mow you want to modify them and think that is done at no cost. You still can't deploy a long tool faster than 1 already on your hand. That may be the dumbest thing you've said. The optics of a cattle prod are clearly worse, only a moron would say otherwise. I guarantee the leftist media would show round the clock clips.  Also the fact that you would need to carry the long tool on your belt would require an additional specialty holster and would be positioned to possibly be taken from you and use against you. Gloves on your hand have a real world advantage in every one of these scenarios. These are totally obvious and self evident, yet you are to stupid and blinded by hate to see clearly.

Most importantly, you have a weird fixation on "blinded by hate."
What's that all about? It doesn't apply here at all. Get a grip, in the right here and right now.

As for the rest of your nonsense:

  • Shortening a cattle prod is ridiculously easy, these things are simple. Won't cost millions like the gloves.
  • ICE electrocuting people will ALWAYS provide bad optics. EVERY time. Why spend millions more for gloves?
  • BIg fat cumbersome, goofy million-dollar gloves are not the answer to any problem.
How many cattle ranchers are moving cattle around with gloves rather than prods?
THE ANSWER IS NONE. Because that would be flat out stupid.

Seriously though, explain the "blinded by hate" fixation you have. What the heck is going on there?

now you're just being stupid. You want to modify something that's not suitable and think this will be done at no cost. You don't account for speed of deployment or loss of weapon during conflict. I've shut down every stupid objection you have, but because you hate LE you can't accept something that improves their safety.

You clearly have no idea what cattle prods are used for, you only know what you see on TV. Their main use is to get cattle to stand up during transport because they die during transport if they lay down. They are used to reach in from outside to do that. It is also used to reach into corrals to keep them moving and keeps the rancher for having to stand in with moving cattle to keep them moving. So for use on cattle you want a distance tool, and law enforcement needs a close tool with rapid deployment. It also needs to carry easily.

Just admit you are wrong and didn't think it through or admit you are blinded by hate and can't think straight.

Mr. "blinded by hate" and more full of sh*t than a cow yard full of steers.

Trim a cattle prod down to the right length, fabricate a leg holster for it, tweak it for proper shock value for people, and BOOM we've got a product that is 100,000x better than the space-age gloves that costs billions of taxpayer dollars more and will only make the glove manufacturers and their investors wealthy in this crooked White House administration. Not only that, but it will also provide profit for the good-old USA cattle prod manufacturers.

We don't need overpriced junk built in China to solve our problems when we can use American ingenuity.

Tell me more about being "blinded by hate."

You seem to be consumed by it to the point of not making any sense whatsoever.

Are you OK little guy?

So take something buy it then modify it into something completely different that still doesn't match the performance of an existing product designed to overcome all the short comings of the product that you are trying to modify that was designed for a completely different purpose.

You truly are a moron.

At a savings of a million dollars of taxpayer money per item... yes.

You can't possibly be dumb enough to think cost isn't a GIANT factor here. Are you that dumb?

You want to trigger people with a conscience?

Pull out custom made gloves costing many billions of dollars in taxpayer money and electrocute people using those.

Even simple folks know the difference between basic spending and ridiculously overpaying by the government.

Lesseee...

About Us | Miller Manufacturing Company

Turns out they are produced by the Miller company based in Minnesota.

Assembled in America with Chinese parts. I actually know the Brother of their owner and my wife went to school with the owner. Anyway you look at it, it is the wrong product for the job, which should be obvious at this point, but you obviously don't think clearly.

BTW the product you are trying toffoip describe as being a better option has been around for years and abandoned by law enforcement for decades because of it ineffectiveness. It's called a stun gun and they don't work for LE needs.

A pair of the G.L.O.V.E. electric shock devices is reported to cost approximately $2,500 per unit

The Department of Homeland Security announced a total contract budget of $10 million to $20 million for thousands of units

These devices, dubbed G.L.O.V.E. (Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter), have already been deployed by law enforcement officials across the country. In May 2025, the city of Omaha, Nebraska, awarded the Omaha Police Department $65,924 for 40 units of the same electric shock gloves to be used in public schools, city documents show.

"These gloves are being purchased for school resource officers as another use of force option with the goal of deescalating and preventing use of force situations," according to correspondence from the police department to the city's purchasing department.….

An NPR analysis calculated that more than 50 police departments across 20 states are using the technology at a moment when law enforcement officials, including ICE, are under increased scrutiny from Americans over use of excessive force.

The CTG-5 G.L.O.V.E. products deliver shocks ranging from 324 to 362 volts and have a hard operational limit of 380 volts. By comparison, a taser can reach between 1,200 and 1,500 volts.

The G.L.O.V.E devices are made by the Kentucky-based and veteran-owned Complaint Technologies, which describes the technology as a "Conductive Distraction and De-escalation Device." The devices, at the time of the correspondence, were being used by "all officers" at the Bellevue Police Department.

... so budget of $10m to $20m'ish?

Which is plus or minus $10 million or so - really nails that budget data?

And it would be for "thousands" of units - exactly how many thousands of units is that?

You're obviously not an accountant, a person good at math, or a sincere poster.

This is $100,000 per toilet government spending level dumb.

My brother's wife went to school with their plumber, and he used to "play doctor" with your wife back in the day. She was a wild and crazy one.

From what he tells me, you're the "wrong product for the job." I don't know, just what I'm hearing.
