Didn't they just bring in another dude who tried to kill his wife?

but trying to make sense of the court system in this country is like trying to nail jello to tree...

Absolutely no idea if it’s true.    So take that however you want.

Someone on fb is claiming Dylan palacio posed as a IG thot / hot chick and tried to lure Aj out to meet him.   There are screen shots of the instagram DMs.      He claims he got his lat / long from them and tipped off the cops.

really hope it’s true.  But who knows.

What does “got his lat/long from them” even mean?

The geo coordinates from pics they exchanged.   The post doesn’t go into that detail but usually when let’s say you take a pic of yourself on your iPhone that (geo coordinates longitude / latitude) is encoded in the pic.   Go into your iPhone and let’s say type a city in where you visited and took pics.  It will find them.   They can be disabled or removed (in theory) but most non tech people don’t know that.

In the search bar under photos it even uses ai classification to type your pics.   Like search for frog.  Or pizza.  Or trees.  Or whatever and it’s pretty good at finding stuff.   Like if you have 10/12/15 years of photo history finding old stuff is a ton easier using ai classification.

I’m still not following. He wanted to meet a “hot” chick that didn’t exist.  The fact the cops were tipped off means he was looking to pay for a prostitute? Is that the gist of the story?

So premise is

Dylan sent him pics of a hot chick and said your hot wanna meet or whatever.

aj responds yes …. Bla

she “fake Dylan hot Chick”  asks for a pic of him.

he sends one.

he gets his geo coordinates from the pic calls the cops and tells them aj is hiding at this address.

lemme see if i can find the fb post and snag the url.  I can’t post pics on here or I would have posted what was on fb

Again.  Zero idea if it’s true or bs.  But I hope it’s true

Just about every cell phone will automatically geotag the coordinates of the photo in the EXIF metadata unless you specifically turn that feature off in your phone. Some social media websites will strip those coordinates but if you transmit the raw photo to someone, it won't be removed.

A shit load of ISIS fuckheads got killed when they posted pictures of their escapades, then hung out at that same location long enough for an airframe to come on station.

It's not a crime that he wanted to meet the hot chick.  He already had a warrant for his other crimes, strangulation, etc.  This was just the way that Palacio supposedly lured him out so that police could arrest him for his other warrant.

Police will sometimes send prize notifications to people with outstanding warrants and then arrest them when they show up to collect the prize.

We aren't dealing with a criminal mastermind here.

This really isn't fair.  At least 5 different programs tried to give him a shot at wrestling over 6 years.  You're giving up on him here when he's just getting started.  He may have been allegedly committing crimes for a while, but with respect to the narrow question of evading surveillance, the relevant issue here, he's a novice.  He should be granted the same patience as the wrestling programs gave him before you write him off.

They only gotta put up 10% right?   Seems low

No, that 20k (10%) is the fee that the bail bondman charges. If not, the accused can put up the 200k and would be refunded when he shows up for court.

So he has to pay $20k? Seems like he comes from a well off family, so I’m sure they’ll help out if he doesn’t have it.

does that get refunded if he cooperates and does as he’s told?

No, if putting up 10% that would be to a bail bondsman, who would put up the other 180k.  If not, has to put up full 200k and that would be given back when accused shows for court.....or that is how I think it works.
