I say it because he seemed wishy washy when DT was named HC.  The other guys double downed, he didn't do so in the same manner.  Vega switched commitments, Forrest came out of HS mid-season, and Robideau obviously bought in.  Dee showed regression throughout the season and there was no whispers of injury.  If there wasn't regression, then others got better and he did not.

I am probably just annoyed because he obviously has talent... he just wants to play the Focus game of hanging out on his knees.  It is embarrassing to watch, for me.  I wouldn't have advocate any of my kids model a style after his, when facing elite competition.

He shoots and attacks far more than James in those matches.  James scores primarily reattacks and counter attacks.  It isn't Lockett being better but playing it close.  It is James being better at wrestling.  Not every match is a trend that reveals character.  Some matches are just a guy being better at wrestling.

What weird commentary.  The guy loses two close matches and you somehow declare he cares less?  An absurd take.

Im not saying he cares less I am just saying he lost match 1 and immediately went over and gave Jayden a dap hug when the series was not even over which is uncharacteristic for guys in these types of matches. I have nothing against guys being nice to opponents and everyone reacts their own way to a loss but I felt as if he could have won both of those matches and yet he seemed content with losing which was surprising for a guy who made three straight world teams and is a world champ.

These are the weights where someone hasn't earned the U23 spot through making the senior world team. Am I wrong? Is Henson eligible?

I believe the winner of henson vs Robideau has 70 but I could be wrong in thinking that. Levi is also u23 eligible still if he wants it.

I think our u20 team is going to be incredible truly think we have a shot at 10 medals, Mastny and boyle looked outstanding but I those would probably be the two weights I have the most apprehension about. As for our u23 team I hope the guys that get the spot from seniors opt to do the tournament because the way things are looking right now it could be an underwhelming squad but maybe they will make me eat my words and I hope they do!

The criteria is different than year's past.

It used to be 1st, 2nd, 3rd at Seniors then U23 champ.

Now it is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th at Seniors, then the National coaches choose.  U23s is weird.

Yeah it'd be a different convo if he got after it more. Every match of his is close. His body language and wrestling style show very little sense of urgency. Routledge lost their matchup but he wrestles his heart out, man. I like rooting for that kid.

I don't get what you mean by coaches choose.

Did Mason Ellis blow his knee against Walters? Had quad view on and on mute, but I saw the match get stopped and he was grabbing at his knee for several minutes before needing help hobbling off. Did the facepalm thing while laying on his back and grabbing his knee that is so frequently associated with the major injuries. Hope he is ok, was looking solid despite being down.

@ 125Kg... doesn't Jimmy Mullen have that Andre' the Giant haircut going on?

Starting the semis now... 57Kg ... Mack Mauger was leading on criteria 4-4 at the end of 2... staved off an attack by Blake Beissel. Beissel's corner throws their brick, but challenge was lost.

5-4 Mauger and he's in the finals

My guy Joe Antonio, a SJB product, winning his 8th straight on the backside with a 10-0 over Ethan Stiles. I had (still do) high hopes for him as a college wrestler.

Just an observation in this tournament... are ALL the women trainers/FirstAiders  here... are they ALL thick?!?
