What makes you not have faith in DeLuca? He owns a win over Marcus Blaze in high school.

It's not that I don't have faith in DeLuca; I just have more in McCrone at this point in time.  McCrone has 50+ wins and been to NCAAs twice.  DeLuca has 1 win (2-0 win over Mauger) and questions at injuries being as he disappeared the rest of the year.  A healthy DeLuca is very good.  I even said he's highly credentialed.

Because he loves OSU and he was so good at 125 until the end of the season where the cut and whatever else wore him down. I think he could do it again on a pitch count. Free/Greco will be interesting to see where hes at

Pitch count makes senes, but the problem is that the cut will likely be tougher next year than this. I hope Tom Ryan remembers how much better Mendez was after he stopped sucking down to 133.

I think the only question with Leo is availability. He has been injured often the last few years. Kid is an absolute hammer and I hope that he can stay healthy.

He is a hammer. I didn't have any clue he had injury issues.

I hear ya, as an Ohio St fan I am bummed McCrone is transferring. He comes from a great family i'll be continuing to root for him.

As of now, if I had to choose between starting McCrone or Deluca for next season i'd have to go with Deluca at this point in time.

I can take a stab at SDSU

125- Brady Roark

133- Cale Seaton

141- Tyson Peach or Logan Swenson

149- Colin Dupil or Avery Allen

157- Cael Swenson

165- Drake Rhodes or Jacob Herm or Marcus Espinosa-Owens

174- Moses Espinosa-Owens

184- Jarrett Wadsen

197- Thomas Dineen

285- Luke Rasmussen or Micah Hach

I would guess Jacob Herm takes that spot and runs with it.

It is possible. Herm seems like he has a lot of upside. That said, don't forget that Rhodes had a really solid season two years ago and it ended with him trying to gut it out at nationals with a torn knee. He had wins over Nico Ruiz and Hunter Garvin that year.

I think Mccrone transferring confirms Bouzakis will be at 125 next year but I've been wrong before. Who do they have for 141 at osu next year?

Also look at Braeden Davis going up in weight didn't help. I am surprised we are not seeing him in portal yet.

Hmm. Might make a good Hawkeye.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he hit the portal, and I think U of M would def kick the tires, and make sense. I’d prefer a handful of other options ahead of him, I think, though.

Brogan Fielding.... which is why it will be interesting to see if Bouzkis moves up to 141 and Kilkeary/Mills handle 125.

Not as a starter but as a redshirt you are still expected to go in as needed. He should have just redshirted at 133.

Was Davis cutting hard to make 133? During Mendez's freshman year several said he wasn't handling the descent well and should move up a weight.

Isn't Merrill redshirting with Herrera at heavy?

184 i agree. Something just isnt adding up with eise and aj both leaving. 125 Nebraska got a big recruit there. Idk if he'll be ready to start right away or not. Hockaday is a decent at 141. I just dont see them going that young back to back at 141 and 149.
