You can always guarantee that the wingers will bring up race if some minority commits a crime, particularly that gets national attention like this one. It's 100% guaranteed. If it's a white guy though, they won't say a thing. Crickets. They may even say that it's "fake news." It's pretty obvious what's going on here....The winger racism is abundant and stinks to high heaven.

WSJ has a pretty good reputation for being accurate. Orders of magnitude better than Faux. -
I don't think he holds 125 at all. While I realize it's the offseason, he just wrestled at CA freestyle state championships in May at 65kg (143 lbs). I think he redshirts, bulks up and comes back at 141 as a RS Freshman. Don't sleep on Ramirez- he's slick on his feet, has a really good slide by, pretty tough on top, and a very high ceiling. It's going to be an interesting room at OSU for the next couple of years, and I think Ramirez is one that will benefit the most from being in a competitive college room.

I don't think silver has.

I'm giving Blaze a shot, but not until 2026...

We were all "swimmers" at one point... -
With all due respect to Kasak, MM is a different animal.

Maybe UPS. Lower than its been in 10 years...

Is anyong giving Joey Blaze or Dee Lockett a shot at taking out Mitchell? I assume Dee has the better shot, getting in the college room and being coached by DT who showed what he can do against PSU last year with Wyatt and Hamiti. Blaze, in my biased opinion, always has a shot at winning, Kasak is the perfect example of him being able to beat anyone any given day. He is also onto his second international event this year so he is getting better this off season no doubt.

That's where he started his coaching career, yes.
-
Not right away. The wrestlers on the roster (and incoming freshman) that are over the roster limit are exempted from the roster limit for the rest of their careers (designated student athletes, I believe they will be called). The schools do not have to keep them on roster, but they can choose to keep them. And if one of those wrestlers chooses to transfer elsewhere his roster exemption follows him to his new school.

Three days in and Summer MacIntosh has been as advertised. She is 2 for 2 in individual gold medals as she attempts to tie Michael Phelps' record of 5 in a single championship, but the biggest showdown is yet to come. Her toughest race will be the 800 free against Katie Ledecky. Speaking of which, Ledecky held serve with "only" a five second win in the 1500. It was the fifth fastest swim in history (the top 4 and 22 more of the top 24 belong to her as well). Before the event Ledecky had the 23 fastest times in history, but the silver medalist Simon Quadrella turned in the 12th fastest time ever to break up Ledecky's monopoly. -

The Wall Street Journal seems to be trying to fill in for the WaPo. -
They’re saying this guy, like so many others, was under psychiatric care and had his medication in his car. No mention of the doctor’s name or what the medication was.

Beat me by seconds! Good work

x2 It doesn't make any sense. Especially when the only real hole he seems to have, that is apparent right now, is that he is small at 74 KG. He needs to add size. And anyways... there isn't a soul at 165lbs who is going to come close to beating him next season. Why would he cut the extra eight pounds?
- Today
-
No, not at all. I just thought his movement last season in the few matches he wrestled at 165lbs didn't look as good as when he was at 174lbs. He's a 0.500 wrestler if he goes 174lbs next season (losing record in the B1G, likely - winning otherwise). If he goes 165lbs, I don't like his chances.

It has been going on so long someone said it was official, official last week. The thing that caught me off guard was so many non power 4's opting in. Everyone was saying most non power 4 schools wouldn't opt in. After the dust settled it looks like over 90% of the non power 4 schools opted in. That is disheartening. So all those non power 4 schools that opted in will have to eventually cut their rosters to 30 correct? Just doing quick math 500-600 wrestlers will be cut

The daily beast politically skews strong left and is mainly an opinionated political publication. -
What's very disheartening, and this is a both sides thing not at all isolated to left or right, is that when these mass shootings happen, the first and most important thing everyone wants to talk about is race and/or political leanings. There are hundreds of millions of people in this country, of all races and political views, the large vast majority of which are good people who would never think of doing anything like this. So maybe there are bigger issues with these situations to discuss, maybe the core fundamental problem with these people is not race and politics?
