  1. Past hour
  2. As we all know, no police officers died as a result of Jan 6. Only one person died as a result of Jan 6 and that was Ashli Babbit who was shot by Capitol Police. Officers did die of natural causes after Jan 6 and of suicide later on. So did protesters. Turley discussed this fairly thoroughly, saying: As I pointed out, only one person died during the January 6 riot, a protester named Ashli Babbitt. The claims that police officers died that day are false, though often repeated by politicians and pundits. The New York Times helped spread the false claim that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died as a result of being hit with a fire extinguisher. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes the day after the riot. As a past correction states, “The medical examiner found Sicknick died of natural causes which means ‘a disease alone causes death. If death is hastened by an injury, the manner of death is not considered natural.’ Four other officers committed suicide days to months later.” Other officers died months later from such causes as suicide, but there is no direct causal link to the riot. So Klarman decided to air his quarrels rather than debate the topic. Which I find is a tactic used by the left mostly and some on the right. They make a statement off topic and pound on it and then change the topic to something else which is what Klarman did as you can see if you read the article. A video of the debate is included in the article so you can see it and not trust what Turely is saying. I think this experience is very emblematic of people having a debate not knowing the rules of a debate which is to stay on topic. This guy is a chair in the Harvard law school and can't even stay on topic. How did he ever get his law degree is a wonder and how he is at Harvard, the premier law school in the country is another wonder. Or maybe not. mspart He knows what he did. If he played the game he agreed to he would have used to mop up the floor. These debates are what resurrected the right. Liberalism dies without lots of anger and with very little analysis.
  3. Who was Penn State’s last world team member at heavyweight? Kerry McCoy? Lehigh had Zach Rey much more recently. Now both are coaching at Lehigh. Yeah, we can speculate that maybe Snyder is moving up, or maybe Greg didn’t like the whole Starocci situation. But, it could simply be that Lehigh is the better place for a heavyweight to train. I know it’s hard to believe Happy Valley may not be the best place for EVERYONE
  4. 100%. When Colbert is off the air and I can't watch him anymore, I will not switch to Kimmel. I will switch to Gutfeld.
  5. This looks great. I've actually been looking for more international results.
  6. I had a feeling this was going to circle back to land rush controversy. One of my main hesitations for posting really.
  7. Today
  8. purely speculating on my part but if Brooks can come back for 2028 I wonder if his intention is to go 97 and Snyders is to go 125 and greg is aware of that.
  9. He lost his points that year but kept his place.
  10. It was the 2011 offseason (right after that controversy) where they changed the rule.
  11. PSU has always been hit or miss at heavy, they excel from middles on up to 97kg, but heavy has always been a mystery for them. Lehigh has produced really good heavyweights for a very long time now. Kirk needs to be in a place where he can learn the tricks of the heavies, because the weight is his if he really wants it.
  12. Bo would pin him in the first period in folk and tech him in freestyle , People forget Bo went up a weight class and walked through U23s teching the Russian in the finals and then made final X and lost to J’Den cox who has 2 world titles, a world silver , 2 world bronze and an Olympic bronze
  13. That was the controversy that year. He kept his team points where previously, you DNMW, you lose all your points, right @gimpeltf?
  14. We had 3 Champions, a runner up and a Bronze. And we nearly had two other Bronze medals. Obviously some guys didn’t perform as they wanted, but all in all, I thought a 2nd place team finish was very good.
  15. Here ya go
  16. We are going ro need you to make a fourth-place trophy and send that back.
  17. I’m off to bed. No more tv. Kids homework took a bit longer than expected
  18. Hold all tickets. It turns out if you once were in charge of scoring the tournament, you might know a thing or two about where to look for explanations of discrepancies. Thanks to @gimpeltf we can now explain a seeming contradiction that explains the 10 point Wyoming difference above even though the brackets suggest it should not be there. From the Wyoming website news archives: "After racking up four consecutive wins on Friday, LeBlanc missed weight by just half a pound on Saturday morning and forfeited his final two matches and all the team points he had accrued in the tournament. LeBlanc finished sixth despite having being disqualified from Saturday's two matches." Joe LeBlanc kept his All-American finish, but lost all 10 of his team points. That is a good trivia question for anyone who wants a free beer at the next tournament.
  19. 99% chance he rides off into the sunset in reruns..,
  20. My Hulu guide says JK is on tonight. Should I stay up past my bedtime to watch it? Additional problem is I have no way to know if it's a rerun.
  21. But Carl said ddm so shirely he had em take that banner down.
  22. As they say out there- If you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin!
  23. Did you unwittingly share an unposted Tripnsweep narrative?
  24. One thing about team scores that everyone may not know. In the early years (1928- around 1940) they didn't always do team scores officially. So there wasn't an official champ. Also, in the pre-NCAA tournament years it seems there was some sort of championships based on dual results. I don't think the NCAA had anything to do with it but in Rec Hall (PSU) where they have their championship flags, they have one for 1920 (I think that's the year). I asked about that and was told it was based on duals.
  25. ahh ... are you sure they gave out 4th place trophies in 1950? I've never seen it it the trophy case so be hard to send back dime or no dime. Moreover everyone knows that a Sooner is a cheater. They snuck in early on the land rush. I have no problem cheating a cheater.
