So Ben really did promote a scam coin that was quickly rug pulled? I know he needs money, but he’s about the last guy I would have expected to do that. Seems odd. https://www.mmamania.com/2025/7/25/24474221/notorious-celebrity-cryptocoin-creator-was-behind-ben-askren-funky-rug-pull?utm_campaign=dhtwitter&utm_content=<media_url>&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

Damn was really looking forward to having him on the Lehigh staff

It seems to focus on scholarship counts. Not sure if that would apply to cutting teams completely

The 3-Point Takedown: Friend or Foe?

BB...so what you are recommending is to....smart stall. Stalling is ok now, eh? I would add to work "smartly" towards the edge, in case: 1) something goes wrong...discreetly get out of bounds, and 2) if my back is to the edge, circle in and take a 1/2 shot to make him go out...keeps the refs very happy. Perhaps it's semantics, but with a minute left and 1pt lead, I'm shutting it down, I'm done wrestling. You are essentially doing the same thing except you call it "don't stop wrestling." I'll give you a B+ for the stall strategy. 3pt. TD was a mistake imo. puts more emphasis on TD's and diminishes mat wrestling...headed towards freestyle, but that's another discussion. thanks for the tip, perhaps I'll figure out how to use it someday. I'm not a new poster. been on here many years. I just post infrequently and only when something piques my interest. And you were criticizing the referees for not calling what you think they should be calling. -
Vito, Hamiti, and more in Poland next week

I think it was more of the injury limiting training or making him skeptical about training. He was posting him doing training lab stuff leading in but I wonder if they were not letting him wrestle when he got tired to try and avoid injury. I think you can do all the running/versa climber/bike in the world but if you arent blowing your lungs out wrestling I just don't think you can be in peak wrestling shape. -

Not even close. It did seem more gassed than anything. He was able to fire off some explosion, especially at the beginning of the first match, but couldn't maintain. Biggest thing I noticed were his hands were not nearly as active throughout as they usually are. -

Well, I forgot about Welsh (like an idiot) as well as Ryder over at OSU. Henckel (wow, we both messed that spelling up ), should be good at 86 KG as well. -

Don’t sleep on Max McEnelly at 86 too. I think he has a really high ceiling and a lot of potential for growth over the next few years. -

If Henckle medals at Junior worlds this year then I would say he is in the mix for 2028. There are 2-3 legit senior level guys at his weight. Ferrari and Mcnelly will probably still be 86's by then as well although I have not seen Angelo wrestle freestyle in like 4 years. -

I know Haines grew in to 174lbs well enough to contend at NCAAs, I don't know if he has the frame to go 86 KG. That said, I welcome being proven wrong. I don't know if Starocci will stick around for the cycle and there isn't anyone else that is going to go 86 KG for the NLWC (MAYBE Mirasola/Barr?)... Actually... Henkle (sp) will likely be there, as will Cunningham, but they won't be ready by then (??). -

I selfishly hope most of them go up. I want keegan at 74 if he can because I think he can win gold at his best but we are going to have someone that can medal at 74 no matter what. If zahid cant stay at this level for 2 more years we may be considerably weaker with depth at 86. -

Every one sees the multiple felony thing for what it is. Harping on it continuously only serves to remind everyone how corrupt the left is and how willing they are to do whatever it takes to control America.

Leads me to believe that what we saw in Fargo was less effect of whatever the injury was still being there, and more effect of not enough time to fully train after recovering from the injury. How he looks in Poland should go a long way to answer that. -

What I think happens, and this is my prediction, not what I want to happen, is that he does make that drop back down. O'Toole, Haines, and Hamiti are all likely going back down - especially with Zahid, Dake, Starocci, PK all up at 86 KG for this cycle. O'Toole, I definitely want back down. Hamiti I want to go up. Haines? I don't know about him, yet. Wick? I wish he'd have gone through with his transfer to Croatia (although it appears his brother might yet do it). - Today

It's supposed to help preserve non-revenue sports, but it wasn't clear to me how. Unless that NIL limitation is intended to help non-revenue sports somehow by limiting NIL revenue that presumably otherwise would go to men's football and basketball? For example, how would this EO have helped Cleveland State if it was issued a year ago?

He certainly could I am not sure he had the width in his frame that David had. He is going to be sandwiched between Lockett and Zahid in 2028 so he should have a good idea where he stacks up best. -
