Not going well. Here's the article. Some key quotes: "Milei had predicted a V-like recovery with the creation of new jobs in a more prosperous and stable economy. Instead, the economy stalled out, declining in the second quarter compared with the previous three months. Unemployment is at 7.6%, up from 5.7% when Milei took office. And Argentina has about 200,000 fewer jobs since he took office, government data shows." "At a nearby bakery in La Matanza, about 300 people line up every day for bread. Celia Cisneros, the baker, said many families don’t have the 75 cents for a bag of bread that is already subsidized by a local nonprofit. Others tell her the bread is likely the only thing they will eat that day." "Milei’s removal of trade barriers along with a stronger peso fueled a boom in imports, from tires and new cars to shoes and T-shirts. Many Argentines purchase cheaper imported goods on Temu and Shein, the popular online Chinese marketplace apps. But the labor-intensive industries that politicians covet here, such as construction and manufacturing, haven’t recovered. Gustavo Murgia hasn’t found work since his factory layoff last year. “I should be working, but what can I do?” he said. “The country is going backward.”" The Trump administration is now trying to step in to save them. "A possible lifeline emerged Monday, when U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Trump administration is looking at options to provide Argentina with a financial backstop as Milei struggles to complete his economic overhaul. Investors cheered the news, boosting the country’s stocks and sending its currency, the peso, 2% higher. On Tuesday, at the United Nations General Assembly, Milei met with President Trump, who has praised the Argentine leader."

He knows what he did was wrong. Say you’re sorry and move on. Getting suspended looks like it was a good move though. He had over 3x as many viewers than usual on Tuesday night and that’s with 25% of abc affiliates not broadcasting him.

Straight out of the LJB playbook! It is kinda funny, but pretty much no one in this thread said that Khamzat would beat Bo. I know that I certainly didn't! All I said is that Khamzat is better than we thought (as evidenced by video of him and Sad) and Bo's wrestling seems to be slipping a little (and he is obnoxious). The two PSU lovers took that all as a tremendous slight and because I said Khamzat is better than expected. One even went so far as to intimate that I preferred a man who has a suspect relationship with a Chechen bad guy over Bo. He went on to say that I disrespected J'Den Cox because I brought up how Mohammadian teched Bo. Just weird overreactions. I don't get it. -
Sounds like a question you'd have to ask him. A guy who sounds like a complete weirdo.

Still no apology to the Kirk family from black face Kimmel. What a piece of $hit

Nice job doubling down on how terrible of human being you are

Khalili and Yousefi should do very well, Do not think Yousefi can beat Levi but could get silver in the field. I think Khalili has a shot at PJ. Rahmani, I think has an easier path at u23's than u20's although I am not sure if Kadiev is going or not. 65/74 are just going to be really hard weights regardless of who you are they are comparable to senior worlds imo. Azimi vs Barr should be a very good match, and I do not know who I would favor. Kassimbek likely dominates if he is going but I think silver is pretty wide open at 125. Feels like a team that should get 6-7 medals to me could definitely push USA because we are going to have issues at 97 and 125.

nah.. just which way is the wind blowing

lets talk about the russians for a second and compare to the US back in those days.. the russians should have dominated. americans were lucky to spend about 1/4 of their time honing their skills the russians.. that was their job... and it was their life if they didn't do it. now the americans have the money and time.. but it's still not their life. so as for Bruce... 13 medals? that's pretty amazing in my book.

57 KG - I think Lilledahl is an immediate Gold contender, dare I say favorite 61 KG - Jax wrestled out of his mind at Seniors. He is a contender, but he could drop a match that we don't expect. He's funky and gets himself in to poor spots sometimes (folks forget he was down by 9 to Gross before he teched him at US senior nationals). 65 KG - Blaze will be undersized, but I fully expect him to beat Sujeet if they meet. It is a style contrast and I think it's going to take a powerful 65 KG guy that wrestles defensively to beat Blaze. Sujeet isn't that guy. 70 KG - Duke should be considered a Gold contender, possibly the favorite. 74 KG - Messenbrink - see above with Duke/Lilledahl. All three of these guys are Seniors medal contenders. 79 KG - Haines wrestled out of his mind at Senior worlds. If he wrestles that way, he is the favorite for Gold. If he wrestles like he did earlier this season at the ranking series, he is looking at wrestling for Bronze. 86 KG - Welsh and McEnelly are two wrestlers with very similar styles, although McEnelly is more proven as of right now. I think Rahmani should be favored against Welsh. 92 KG - Barr was the only wrestler to match Hidlay's physicality with him since Hidlay committed to going 92 KG late in the spring. I am hoping for a good performance, but wouldn't be surprised to see him wrestling for Bronze after dropping a match on the front side. 97 KG - I don't expect a medal here, however draws are very dependent. 125 KG - Same as 97 KG, I don't expect a lot, but would love being proven wrong. This is probably the best U23 squad that the US has sent, maybe ever, and that is with two 'holes' at 97/125. I only call them holes, because of what the rest of the lineup looks like and fully believe that it is possible for medals from them.
