I do agree with not drawing massive conclusions from individuals like all the examples given, but when you're body count is in the miillios I think you can agree there may be a trend.

Neither were assassinations. Scalise survived. Trump's shooter was not a leftist either. He was a registered Republican. He also donated to the dems once. I don't think his politics were coherent at all and he went through a major mental breakdown leading up to the shooting. I wouldn't pin that on ideology as much as internet-induced schizophrenia. That could also be the case with Boelter, especially since he apparently listened to InfoWars. What is clear is that he was not liberal, nor leftist. Anybody still saying that is just trying to say it so often that it becomes true in the minds of people who listen to them, which is pretty effective for dimmer audiences (probably what's working on scout for example).

He has definitely lost a step in the past few years but I think you could attribute some of this “”noise”” to him not medaling if that ends up reality
