I don't want to speak for Zan or his family. But, from the outside looking in, training with Seth Gross/Eric Barnett doesn't seem like a bad situation for an incoming freshman.

Not sure of Wisco's roster/incoming recruiting class. But I would not bet against him starting as a true frosh. Kid has 'it'.

Zerban is from Bethalto, IL. Did first three years of HS on this side of the river for private school, CBC. Then finished HS career at Civic Memorial HS in IL. He's an IL boy.

I know how tough it is in HS. I coach a lot of kids from IL. Just seems like most of their top end talent doesn't reach the same heights in college that they do in HS. But 8 AA's says otherwise.

If Zahid wins 92 kg spot, and Brooks loses 86 kg spot, there should be a special wrestle off between Zahid/Brooks. Best of three series with Brooks only needing to win 1 match (since he beat him at The Open) and Zahid needing to win 2 straight.
