  1. I just thought this was funny….
  2. As a bonus it stopped the streak.
  3. Do they have just as ‘good’ a chance to having no one in the finals, as they do in having a champ?
  4. So….you were of that same stance the previous few years?……..interesting. (Please don’t say yes you were, the proof is in the pudding)
  5. I don’t like the guy either. But I’m kind of a fan of freedom of speech. Particularly in a forum where one can make the choice to put another on ignore so they don’t have to see those comments. True, “don’t tread on me” Patriots should agree….don’t you think? But I do have one question regarding your proposal…does that only include comments about the current President? Or are you encompassing all politicians that are discussed on this board. I don’t recall if you were making a similar regarding the President a year ago?
  6. I'm not disagreeing with the decision, I'm also not one to pretend to know more about a situation than those directly involved......I'm talking about the importance of having rules and following them, especially in the area of weight cutting where kids have died.
  7. I completely agree. Which is why I believe every rule needs to be followed. How 'trivial' a rule is, is usually nothing more than opinion. And in many cases, it is an uninformed opinion (or at least one not given a lot of thought) Example: covid. When sports resumed a lot of fuss was made about some rules like not shaking hands after, or players not swapping jerseys after. Why can they be in contact, but not take part in these? And it is a very good question, one that should be explored rather than just cast off as stupid, without given much thought. And the answer is (was)......I was responsible for getting athletics back up and running in my area, and this is the thought process..... In order to get competition back on line, we had to eliminate all contacts that were not necessary to execute the competition (game, match, whatever). And while not shaking hands after, and not exchanging jerseys after, certainly seem silly on the surface, they are in fact contacts that are not at all necessary to execute the competition, so they had to go. Just one example.
  8. A good example of why I don't visit the wrestling forums all that much. I get my nonsense on the nonsense forum. Have hope for a little more mature conversation in these parts.
  9. The weigh in regulations were put into place because young men died. Having wrestlers alive is good for the sport. When we start opening the door of, well what does this rule really matter anyway........it's a slippery slope. Additionally, if everyone else is following the rule, why do we not hold all of these men and young men responsible for the rule. A title wouldn't be cheapened in any way.....they did what they were supposed to do. Managing your weight in a manner that you are prepared to compete is in fact a function of this sport.
  10. There are nine tells, and what it tells us is that in not one single one of them do the majority of Americans predominantly agree with the way things are being handled. Not even close. But there’s plenty of time for those numbers to go up. I sure hope they do. I kinda like our country, no matter who’s in charge.
  11. Yes, majority and predominantly for….some….Americans. Parrot’s gonna parrot.
  12. In a weird way, he and Regan while very different; reminded me of each other.
  13. The list is long and filled with both Republicans and Democrats. It’s okay.
  14. I didn't put words in your mouth, I just assumed you got confused, since I was talking about pardons, which is not at all relative to those convicted in the BLM riots. It's okay.
  15. I'm sorry if I caused confusion, there were no pardons for those rightfully convicted in the 2020 BLM riots. Again, sorry to cause confusion. The proper question to be asking is... is breaking the law on private property different than breaking the law on public property. But I realize that doesn't get us all tingly inside.
  16. Haven’t seen anything about it yet, but if I were to take a guess, they may have learned that even if they end up in jail they would be pardoned. Someone set a precedent…
  17. When dealing with numbers/percentages....I just go by the standard definition rather than make up my own, which is more than half. Like I said we could all mince and parce words to fit our own little warm fuzzies, however in the case of the last election, neither of the candidates received votes from half of Americans, nor half of those who voted for President in this election. It's okay, it's okay.....it's not the first time the winner hasn't received the majority. It's just the facts of the matter. I never said I didn't like the saying, I was just pointing out how some really, really do. But to be honest, I was hoping more for a whackadoodle, that one seems to really get the juices flowin.
  18. Both can be, and are, true. Trump won by what is termed as a landslide through the electoral college. Trump also did not receive the majority of votes from Americans, defeating Harris by 1%. Both picking at straws to hit your respective warm fuzzies, but I’m glad we got the opportunity for that “mental gymnastics” fix.
  19. Sorry Polly, I’m all out of crackers. Come back Sunday afternoon I will have went shopping.
  20. So far, the only thing we know, outside of what we are being told from that sometimes yes sometimes no trusty media, is that a federal judge, whom I think it’s fair to point out is Jewish, has some questions as to whether the governments actions….another sometimes yes sometimes no trusty segment….acted within the laws and the Constitution. He has paused deportation until he’s had a good chance to look at all of the facts in the case first hand. (I wonder why he’s a United States judge, and we’re not). Maybe we…all…should just lift our feet up and sip our favorite beverage on this one for a minute. I mean, smoke a joint if that’s your thing. And yes…’sometimes yes sometimes no’ refers to whether or not the topic fits our feelings.
  21. You’re just now figuring this out??
  22. We won’t know what he did illegal until the evidence is provided. Which, I look forward to. And if he did break laws, he should go. I do find interesting however a couple things very interesting though. One of them being “probably” and “no doubt about it” in back to back sentences about the same thing. The other is how people can switch back and forth from whether people should be arrested or not, based solely on what they are supporting. For example, we have some people ready to convict this guy without really having anything definitive on what he did, meanwhile folks who committed horrendous violent crimes on TV for the whole world to see should be free because….well just because we like they’re opinion on the matter. Very interesting.
  23. I can bang the hell out of some bongos though. RASTAFAR I
