NLWC has these guys on a limited schedule for a reason. Cael knows that if DT comes in un-injured and in shape, he will stomp everyone not named Yazdani. The biggest thing for a 32 year old wrestler is managing wear and tear. I’d bet that Taylor is on the mat 3x a week, max, for much of the year. I know he does a LOT of cycling, both indoor and outdoors, for fitness. He builds a huge aerobic base doing a non-wrestling activity and then builds wrestling-specific fitness in a relatively short ramp-up prior to big events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Personally I’d rather have the CINC strengthening or building international alliances to prevent future loss of life then taking photos to appease the masses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Who is the hottest commit for Penn State as of late?

Again, I said in two years. I don’t think it’s impossible for him to put on enough good weight to not get completely manhandled by other 174s and be able to cut down to 163 and wreck those guys in two years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The fact that the US government subsidizes, emphasizes or in any way promotes through any means corn syrup or ethanol production is very troubling to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He’s a string bean 74kg right now. I think he could pack on some meat and be a BIG 74kg in 2028. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You think Haines and Sealey get bumped out of the lineup? I wish Kasak would take a GS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Tens of thousands of farmers, all over the country, every year, for decades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We have a different problem now. We pay fathers to use their arable land to produce crops that no human can eat raw (field corn), or can be processed into sweeteners that are significant contributing factor to our skyrocketing obesity rate. Or, we pay farmers to not grow anything at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’d bet that Ferrari weighed 8-10lbs more than him when they stepped on the mat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Because Ryder is spending his senior year at M2/NLWC and will have as much time at PSU as Barr before Starocci leaves. I see the lineup at 157-184 in two years time as: 157: Haines/Sealey 165: Sealey/Haines 174: Messenbrink 184: Ryder/Barr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
In response to the opening post of the thread/topic: Read “The Grapes of Wrath”. A relevant passage. The one the book draws its title from: “The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit- and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains. And the smell of rot fills the country. Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth. There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot. The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.” The US has been doing this, at the behest of corporations large and small, and the US Gov, for a long ass time. Maybe he gets canned? I get that 165 is a meat grinder but Hamiti 6th twice in a row, Amos being 1-4 in two years at NCAAs, losing prized recruits to other not-great programs, etc are not great results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think Nick Lee will go like 2-2. Win a match, lose to a finalist, win a match in repechage, lose the next. For whatever reason he seems to refuse to game plan for top level guys (see: Musukaev) that his US peers have beaten. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Being WC at the weight gets him SOME points, but apparently counts less than winning the Grand Prix of BFE and Eastern Southwestern Turkmenistan Open. I get that UWW wants to incentivize wrestling at their events but this way results in non-medalist wrestlers getting seeded into positions that make it easier to medal. Sha'carri Richardson a treasure or tactless?
Le duke replied to Threadkilla's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
She’s a very polarizing figure. Was supposed to go to Tokyo but ran afoul of USADA for weed. Super talented. But she seems/seemed very easily distracted. One thing that I noticed recently is that she’s no longer doing the wig/gigantic nails/bedazzled singlet thing. This may or may not have been the look she was going for but “cabaret” would be a good description. Not saying her focus on that side of things caused her poor results, but her better, recent results seem to correspond with ditching all of that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
