I have mixed feelings on this. 1) As in Afghanistan and Iraq, the people in the West Bank knew/know who Hamas is, what they were up to, and turned a blind eye to it. Apathy has the same result as being party to it, in this case. If you’re hanging out in the vicinity of rocket launchers when they are about to let loose on some rounds headed to Jerusalem and you get smoked by a 500 pound bomb dropped by the IDF from 30,000ft, sucks to suck. 2) In a lot of the videos I’ve seen, it’s just a bunch of young or middle aged men doing … whatever. No women, no children. Unfortunately, while the IDF tends to *try* to observe the principal of proportionality, even a 200lb bomb is absolutely gigantic in terms of what it can destroy. The kids and women near those detonations, hiding and fearing for their lives, don’t deserve what is almost certainly happening to them. 3) Al Qassam just announced that they are going to start filming and broadcasting the executions of the Israelis they’ve captured. If your goal is to draw sympathy from the rest of the world, this ain’t it, dawg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
