  1. To clarify: I’m not suggesting they did anything wrong, re: her death. The case is unsolved, nearly 30 years later. Beauty pageants for 6 year olds? That’s not good. Can’t convince me otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. JonBenet Ramsey. I remember being in elementary school when that happened. The entire thing seemed wild to me. Who would dress their daughter up like that? Who would enter a kindergartner in a beauty pageant? Why do beauty pageants for 6 year old children exist? I’m not suggesting the parents did anything bad. But the entire concept grosses me out the older I get. And, I would never think of making my kids do anything like that (and that’s the thing: no 6 year old wakes up and says, “Yes, mama/daddy, please enter me in a contest where I dress up like … whatever that is … and I am evaluated on my appearance by grown ass adults.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I watched this match and this match only; did UNI not have a challenge left? I get that it was "early" in the dual but smoke 'em if you got 'em, Schwab.
  4. He’s a multiple time age group world champion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. First finalist for Penn State at 149. Connor Pierce beats OU’s McDougald, 4-3. His first ranked win, I believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I guess my point is that I rarely see a 125 who isn’t doing terrible things to their body to make weight, and McHenry is a guy who looks like he weighs 115 soaking wet. That young man is a world class athlete and he’s giving up 15-20lbs to his competition. I’d have the same feelings about it if he were still at Michigan. Hell, Iowa too. Now, is he a statistical outlier? Absolutely. The entire world is getting bigger, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 57kg go up to 59-60kg in the near future. So I understand why there isn’t a weight class that low. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I completely forgot about his move west. Hidlay is a class act and Stanford is lucky to have him. A very slight upgrade, then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I don’t think he’s been on in more than a year now. Which is probably for the best. I’m a big Cenzo fan but I’ll say that I have zip, zero, zilch problem with almost ANY grad student getting a bag to use their eligibility. Exception: Hendrickson. He’s a commissioned officer in the USAF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Again: Brooks came closer to beating the gold medalist in his bracket than Lee did. I didn’t say that Brooks would have beaten Yazdan; I didn’t even mention his name until now. Also, if we take your statement literally, no, no one wrestled and beat everyone in their brackets. In their path to the final and the final, sure, they beat everyone, but no one went 15-0. 10. I rarely think, “Man, this 5’5”, 132lb kid looks like a giant” but he made McHenry look tiny. Threw him around a couple of times but McHenry was too quick and too skilled overall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Brackets are a hard concept to understand, it seems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Kurt McHenry is the sole reason 114/115/118 should still exist. He’s so good, but so small. He’s killing a kid that looks like a 141/149 compared to a regular 125. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Why would they wrestle a fictional match that has no basis in the rules? I mean, why couldn’t they wrestle for true second, too, if we’re dealing in made up hypotheticals? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. He came closer to beating the gold medalist in his weight class than Lee did. He scored a takedown. Lee did not. Never came even close. Also, WTF are you talking about? True third? How is that relevant here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I imagine Cenzo would be a significant upgrade in training partners for Cardenas. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Ryder looking smaller than his opponent at 184. I’m guessing he goes 174 when Levi is done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Brooks was closer to being a gold medalist than Spencer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm particularly interested in seeing how Ryder + Mirasolas are coming along. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ryder wins 184. He's really good. The Mirasolas, I could see them both placing. Mirasola the Smaller got wrecked by Barr at Black Knight but Barr might just be better than I thought he'd be.
  19. Been a Penn State football fan since I was born. Dad was roommates with Jack Ham. I wore Penn State shirts to football games at my school (Illinois) when they hosted Penn State. I hate Tom Osborne with the fire of a thousand suns. I am obligated to take Penn State. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Iowa fans are already penciling him into their lineup at 197 for next year.
  21. Why are any books banned at all? Here’s a great list of books that are banned in libraries and schools in CO. https://cdhe.colorado.gov/banned-book-list To include: The Things They Carried, The Kite Runner, Born a Crime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Maybe I’m giving them too much credit but I’d assume a guy ranked that high wouldn’t be predicted to be in a 32/33 match in their model. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Wilco. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Uhhh… wow. Quoting this for posterity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Rozynski is pretty good. He gave Kasak a good match in the PSU-Lehigh dual. Very tough to take down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
