Dan Monthley is the trainer for all athletes tonight. I was very, very confused for a second there. He was having a chat with Berge while attending to Devos’ nose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
His accuser is a woman who testified before the House Ethics Committee. She was 17 when Gaetz had sex with her, per her attorney. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have to wonder if Ono being at NLWC for three months this winter helped sway Blaze. Also, if Blaze will move to State College early to take advantage of a once in a lifetime training opportunity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pretty common practice in various industries to have reviewers swear themselves to secrecy before a product is released to the public. Often times the brands will find a way to get “spy shots” out to build hype before the product is released. A new bike is seen in a lift line at Whistler or in the T1 at Kona. New shoes at Berlin, Chicago, etc. I really hope Flo didn’t accidentally leak a young man’s big decision. That would be super shitty of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PJ Duke is an absolute horse. Just murdered Andonian and beat Lewan handily. IIRC, he has two more U20 years left. One of the more impressive things he did was at about 2:20 left on the second against Lewan. They were in a Whizzer position and he throws Lewan out of bounds…with one arm. Well, he’ll be at Penn State from January to March. Not reading anything into that other than he wants to train outside of Japan for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I won't do him dirty like that. Over on the PSU board we refer to the middle Ferrari as Fredo; Anthony Ferrari is by all accounts NOT a person you want hanging around your wrestling room.
Just strikes me as a kid who wrestled because that's what his brothers did and had a lot of success by being talented and getting in a lot of reps. Now that he's up against kids who are just as talented and/or want it a lot more, he's not having that success.
I thought Gaitan was going to be a multi-time AA coming out of HS. Beat Haines pretty soundly at S32.
I understand that they had issues getting him into the lineup at his ideal weight (see: David Carr) but I'm surprised he didn't do better at 174 last year.
Cael Valencia isn't living up to either of his names.
He's a kid that has a lot of talent but, and this is a guess, hasn't put in the work to be a good D1 wrestler.
Areana Villaescusa is one of a couple of WCAP soldiers my wife has had in her classes over the years. Just told her she made the semis at 55kg. She's about to watch her first UWW Worlds match.
Good point.
Conversely, I haven't heard of half the guys on the USA roster. Our 125kg guy, Lucas Stoddard, is a West Point cadet who went 0-2 at NCAAs last year. He surprised me today, though, making the semis.
