i get it. i certainly understand the distaste for that. i just don't think it's a big deal when someone tells you what their convictions are, even if i disagree with them. there are plenty of muslims who publicly say non-believers should be wiped out. there are plenty of atheists who roll their eyes at any notion of a god. idk, maybe it's just me, but it doesn't invoke outrage.

most muslims would understand that b/c they say the exact same thing, just about Allah instead of God. from where i sit, it's white american atheists with coexist bumper stickers who are the ones with their panties a bunch over it.

you guys have the same energy/hate for the many muslims that say, essentially, the same thing as Brooks but in reverse? the bottom line is that's what they believe. i find it funny that the same class of people that scream inclusion and acceptance vilify people for their words. and in this instance, selectively. did i like the comment? no. do i like when others subjugate my beliefs? no. but to each, their own. it harms me none.

'quip' was the wrong word choice, i'll give you that. but again, the hate (at least that i see) isn't coming en masse from muslims.

there's this new thing. and i gotta get better versed on it, but it's called a DSA or Designated Student Athlete. it's a product of the 30-man roster limit and has ramifications for the rest of one's career (and, i think, the school that picks him up) i'll get some more clarity on it.

i never heard anything remotely close to this. there were always accusations that psu messed around with performance enhancers, and it's been said that Carter is a handful and a pain in the ass, but i've never heard anything (prior to this) about bullying or inappropriateness in any way. you guys are right that upon the first post (by Beau on the psu forum) i took this less seriously. to me it sounded like locker room beef. when the article came out, it became clear that it wasn't that simple (to put it mildly).

that's not what anyone said, and a distinction that everyone seems to be glossing over. you can write about it, you can talk about it, but you can't position the allegations as facts. you can't condemn or indict based on allegations, no matter how true you think the allegations are. that's just sloppy and irresponsible. i ain't doing it, that's for sure, and you can all hate away on me or call me whatever you want.

i'm aware of the 'no false prophets' quip. but the 'a billion muslims would like a word' was in response to 'why so much hate on Brooks'. i don't see the hate for brooks coming from 'a billion muslims.' and i saw the hate for brooks long before that incident.

you're not good at logic, and have no idea what 'journalism' is. it matters ZERO what i think. it only matters what has been PROVEN. at this point in time, nothing has. i will speak with more certainty when it has. i'm not sure if you're aware but half the major wrestling media personalities are literally in a lawsuit right now.

i agree with you IF that's what happened. how can anyone say with certainly that that's what occurred? never, in any legal matters pending, would i report as fact 'allegations' with no evidence. you guys are free to speculate, assume, and make up your mind immediately. that's fine. while i can do the same, what i cannot do is present it as fact. it aint happening. call me whatever you want.
