As young and crazy and illogical as RV is, I honestly hope someday he finds and understands perspective on life better. Working such long hours and trying to better yourself is very admirable especially when you are young, but to have the attitude that you should maintain that for your whole life is well, not living life... as life isn't about a job and as I have gotten older, I am thankful for what the long hours have allowed me to do for me and my family; however, it is definitely NOT what defines me...my relationships with my family and friends and the time spent together is 1000 times more important than a job ever was or will be. As I get closer to retirement (so jealous of you @JimmySpeaks ), I realize it even more as I hear about more and more people who worked their whole life and never got to enjoy the rewards of all that hard work (death, disability, mental health issues, etc.). I hopefully will not be that person.

It's totally fine that you look at it the way you do. All I am doing is also applying some of the logical thinking to the things that don't point to "smoke"...ex., him running on releasing the files, if there was any sort of damning information about Trump the past administration would have absolutely "used it", etc. My point being I think it is absolutely ridiculous to run around and adamantly say Trump IS a pedophile (I know you are not saying that as an absolute like others) and the same scrutiny to all the things you claim as smoke aren't given to the things that would point he probably isn't a pedophile and on some "list" that proves it. Obviously people are allowed to use whatever deductive reasoning to come up with their pointions; however, I am just not someone, who for political reasons instantly (or only looks at things one sided) villainizes someone because they are an R or a D. And yes, it is easy for me to say release the files (because neither you nor I nor anyone on these boards knows what is in them), and whomever was engaging in sexual acts with minors, should be, at a minimum, put in jail for life.

I truly want to hear trips highly educated, well thought out, logical answer to the question.

I find it humorous, no matter who the president is or what letter he may have after his name, to worry about how much golf that person plays. Do you want their job? Do you want to work 20-hour days making the type of decisions they have to make? My guess is no. Thus, I have absolutely no problem with the president (past, current, or future) playing golf...even if I disagree with their policies.

You keep saying this, and I may agree with you, but what are your solutions? Are you disagreeing that ONE of the solutions is to get people jobs?

I watched a clip where a stats guy, claims to be bipartisan, talked about the "stats" coming out about DC. He said the overall violent crime rate isn't always a good one to assess crime in a city, but rather just use murders as those you really can't manipulate because there is a dead body. All the other statistics that go into the violent crime rate is routinely under-reported, and/or there is a change as to how they are classified year over year and sometimes month over month. So looking at just murder rate in DC as of August 15, 2025 there were 113 at this same time last year versus 101 for this year. Maybe it is just me but if I am living in DC I wouldn't be feeling like "Yay...our city is safe again!" Again I ask, why are people so against trying to make a city more safe?? I don't understand the logic. Looking at this overall I feel bad for the DC police force as they clearly were not able to do their job...as it appears the police chief is completely incompetent along with the mayor...to me they are the ones who caused the need for the national guard to show up...and I am 100% okay with it. Hopefully, there is change at the top and the DC police force can finally do their job once the national guard leaves.

Overall, I like him. He has some good quests on that results in entertaining conversations. I don't like everything he says but for the most part it is entertaining when I have listened to him.
