To me the only "slippery slope" I have seen is to continually let criminals get more and more emboldened to cause more and more crime...that worries me WAY more than ever thinking the government is going to slowly use the military to take over cities and the people.

What is an utterly ridiculous statement is to say that a few bad apples is the cause for the vitriol hate shown towards LOE and the reason there was a call for defunding the police. The dems started the defund the police movement...that is FACT! The media blew the bad apple cases out of proportion and promoted the "Hate the LOE" narrative and the defund the police narrative. Again, bad police officers should absolutely be held accountable and should be weeded out of any department. But they account for a very very small percentage of the brave men and women who put the uniform on every day to protect people, and even those who hate them. They are hero's! We should be treating them as such. Also, from personal experience, I can guarantee that the people that are hardest on officers who exhibit bad behavior are the vast majority of other officers. They don't and won't put up with it. Sure you can say in the past there have been bad precincts and that some officers were "protected" from their bad behavior, but to extrapolate that into today's policing and LOE agencies is ridiculous and quite ignorant. Yet alone blaming a few bad apples for the defund the police movement.

Those are exactly the type of boats they typically use. You should watch To Catch a Smuggler: Tropical Takedown. Reality show about catching the drug runners and the type of boats they use. Besides, you are assuming that it's the only boat they are using. As for bombing of the alleged cartel members from Venezuela, as much as I want to see those criminals taken down, not sure I am in agreement with indiscriminately just bombing the boat. My hope is that there were extenuating circumstances that called for this to happen, but if not, I don't think it is a "good thing" so to speak.

The bad police officers should be held accountable 100%...and for the most part they are. But to blame the actual police for the defund the police movement is such an asinine take it's actually laughable. The democrats and the MSM are 100% to blame for the defund the police movement. Spin it all you want, play your mental gymnastics all you want, the democrats and the MSM are solely responsible for the attitude towards police officers (and now ICE). You can kick and scream "but but what about that one bad one!!" all you want but it doesn't change the facts. Bottom line is I cannot for the life of me understand how someone who has half a brain can argue AGAINST trying to make cities with high crime more safe! Hats off to the DC mayor for going against her party and clearly doing what is right for the people of DC even if it means getting help from the bad orange man. I can only hope some of the other big cities do the same, or figure things out on their own so the NG doesn't need to be sent in.
