Yup...just physically more gifted. He's also built like the rock(sans the HGH I presume). I look forward to "The Young Kerk" in 30 years as he mulls over a Presidential run.

Go back and think through the matches. They've been extraordinarily boring. Spencer put up 16 and Brooks 18, but other than that...is Woods the biggest margin of victory?

This has been the most boring #1 vs #2 duel I think I can recall. Even in blowouts, there are some incredible performances that...well, are better than this.

Warner looks like an extra in a Netflix series about a Norwegian fisherman that you start, but stop watching because it's in Norwegian and...the dubs are terrible.

Where are people getting that he was whining? The whole thing that made it funny was that it was like a spontaneous reaction. THAT'S why it was great! I didn't see him doing anything close to whining. Of course I'm not a loyal Iowa or PSU fan, so I'll let y'all duke it out.

I don't know how I forgot about Dean-Warner. Maybe wishful thinking. Based on a lot of the matches tonight, I'm not expecting a barnburner there.

Again, Starroci had just done pretty much the same thing to him(but while there was time on the clock). I don't think it was an excuse, I think it was just frustration and mocking him.

It's not the stalling, it was the mocking of Starroci at the end of the mat. When Starr kinda danced like he was not bothered and after the whistle Brands did the same thing. It wasn't a judgement of anything other than the petty animosity between the two.

I'm saying I don't think a coach said to him, "you have to cut to 195 if you want to Wrestle, you can't Wrestle 220." There's a LONG list of Wrestlers who quit their Sr year. It's also likely that Penn State didn't want him Wrestling after he signed(I know that's been the case with a few UW signees under Davis).

I'd be shocked if any coach told him they didn't want him out at 195 or 220. I took it more as a business decision. "Football was my passion." The weight thing seemed less of an impact. He'd still barely have to cut to make 220 right now, much less when he came to PSU.

IDK...the best way to control a tie on your feet? I'm a little surprised that Facundo has let him get it SO deep so much of the match. I'd hit a stall here when he keeps backing off like that. Though the firsts aren't exactly going up real quick tonight(which is fine).

Right, it's almost for that reason I'm rooting for Iowa. I'd LOVE to see it coming down to HWT for the match again for the 6th time this year for Iowa.

Is Parsons gonna retire when he's 26? Parsons is gonna to absolutely DESTROY the market for Off-Ball backers(namely because he's not really an off-ball backer). Parsons is a year away from a 5/150M type extension...and that's just his first one. Is it sad? Eh...IDK. Can we get Wrestling big enough to get a 110B dollar TV deal over 11 years, plus another 3B dollar a year deal just for the rights to show when someone's about to score?

Yeah, I wasn't really serious. I was just curious how reactionary you were gonna be on your PSU predictions...which are always trollishly dire. There's no reason Haines can't compete for a NC this year. I wouldn't bet he wins it, but I wouldn't be shocked.

He did...and Smart match by Siebrecht. Cael and company are going to have to work with him on scoring through that underhook. He slowed Haines down pretty effectively. Very different Wrestler than when he wrestled Model from Wisconsin(very similar build and style to...both these guys). But he was able to clear and create more angles. Course Model was trying to score a bit more which obviously opens things up, then Haines broke him.

Jimmy Cinnabon- 3 points? This Haines kid just got downgraded to a...POSSIBLE qualifier. 1-2 at best, right?

I'd HATE to ref a match like this. In my BRIEF time as a HS ref, I remember just a few hundred people in a "big" rivalry duel and I dreaded calling shit. PSU fans(or Iowa at CHA) are just ruthless! I don't think the home crowd EVER thinks the other guy is in a "potentially dangerous" situation or NOT stalling!
