    Geco was not prioritized from early age for the Greco guys that won the team title in 2007. There seemed to be about a decade where the Greco had multiple medal winners almost every year. IIRC about what we got from our FS team back then.

    International Judo pulls losers to semi-finalists into the repecharge. I know Olympic boxing just gives the semifinal losers each a bronze. I think either of those options are preferable to the current wrestling repecharge.

    Adam Baritov, Russian with at least one world medal, wrestled for Bahrain at the end of his career. Bahrain's track team is full of transplanted African runners

    Do OTT typically sell out? Weren't they at PSU last time? This would be an event I would love to go to but can justify those ticket prices.

    And it is another thing to have beaten multiple medalists. If you can regularly beat guys that have won medals it should be obvious that you should be viewed as a medal threat.

    Hard to put Snyder on Mount Rushmore when is clearly not as good as someone in his own era, in his own weight class.

    For many weights, is harder to win US WTT than to win a medal at Worlds. Myles Amine might even agree with this. It seems likely the J'Den Cox wll find this out as well.

    Chris Campbell did the same and won a bronze. I think he was 36.

    There are so few fan bases who ever have a chance to even have their team in contention for a title, I would believe most fans are not that that passionate about team titles. Iowa's and PSU's large and loud fanbases skew our perspective. I was never on a team that competed for a title at any level, so maybe my perspective is warped, but I think it is all about having a wrestler on your favorite win or achieve AA status.

    It will be interesting to see how a really good (but not dominant) D3 guy does in the BG10.

    It took many years for college BBall to institute a shot clock. It was popular before and the change improved the game and increased has increased in popularity since.
