  1. Like Andonian and Gallagher and Mauller? The latter of whom gave up the first bonus loss of his career? And who, collectively, he outscored 45-8, including not giving up even an escape to Gallagher? How do you gas badly and accomplish that against these guys? Are you trying to say that he doesn't gas against those known for high pace, or that he even gasses against those without high pace?
  2. Thanks. They couldn't keep things straight very well.
  3. #9 Cornell over #3 Missouri 20-16 149: #28 Fernandez decision #25 Gioffre 4-0 157: #12 Shapiro major decision #5 Mauller 14-4 (first bonus loss of Mauller's career!) 197: #8 Cardenas decision #3 Elam 4-0
  4. My apologies. All in good fun.
  5. You were expecting some wrestlers to avoid other wrestlers? Isn't that what ducking is about?
  6. So much for that gas tank issue, huh? (yes, I just got off my bike and reading this thread now)
  7. Yeah, the Brown *assistant* coach walked onto the mat. No bueno.
  8. Damned Cornell wrestling alums! (FWIW, Cornell beat Harvard 37-6, losing a regular decision and a major decision. Yes, Harvard was also penalized a point for unsportsmanlike conduct (someone took a swing at a Cornell wrestler for that one))
  9. Not a score you often see.
  10. Yeah, I was riding my bike for the whole match, thinking I'd go blind if they didn't fix it. As I said, high school A/V clubs do better.
  11. For those Mizzou fans who will be watching the Cornell match tomorrow on ESPN+, I apologize in advance for the terrible announcer and the high school level production "values."
  12. 141, Titus(WV) vs Edmond (Mizzou) Find it on ESPN+. Watch it.
  13. What's with Surtin and that neck collar?
  14. Fake left, go right! Coach Grey's email, just now. More deception!
  15. https://cornellbigred.com/news/2024/1/26/wrestling-off-the-mat-julian-ramirez-25-and-his-evolution.aspx
  16. Learn to read. Did I say that? Ramirez tweaked an ankle prior to the ISU dual. It's not clear that Grey has ever held a healthy wrestler out because of seeding concerns.
  17. Why would Cornell hold Ramirez out against O'Toole? Protecting his lower seed? What's the downside?
  18. Cornell has or has had Little Rock, Pitt, Iowa State, Ohio State, VT, Lehigh, Missouri, and North Carolina as their tough opponents.
  19. Depends on how you define "full participation". Swimming (complete with flip turns: talk about trust!). Cycling (tandem bikes as stoker). Road running (with a sighted pacer).
  20. So, double failure on Vito's part (five matches, last one on 12/18). If he wrestles three matches this weekend, he'll then qualify. How often do they do these?
  21. What's the apparent rule that causes them to leave Arujau out of the 133 rankings?
  22. When did Fix become a coach or a program?
