Good thing the Olympics don't do anything like that! Oh, wait...

Ukrainian beats Russian in WW 59kg bronze match. They don't shake hands. Ukrainian walks to her own corner, ref signals her to shake hands with Russian corner. She looks over, shakes her head and continues off the mat. Gotta wonder what goes through a Ukranian's head when they face a Russian. Ugly.

Since the rest of us seem to be able to watch all or most of the coverage, this sounds like a "you" problem, not a Flo problem.

How does one sign up for this?

And yet...

Also: 86kg: Chris Foca [Mejia] (Dominican Republic, Cornell) 97kg: Ben Honis (Italy, Cornell)

Will Cornell have six freshman starters? 125 Isaiah Cortez (over prior starter Milani) 133 Elijah Cortez (over prior starter Ferrara) 165 Alessio Perentin 184: Big Little D (Elijah Diakomihalis) (over prior starter Cerchio and returning Mikey Dellagatta) 197: Jude Correa 285: Rocco "Bigger D" Dellagatta (over prior starter Ashton Davis)

Palacio pinning Kemerer.

Couldn't get a visa?

I think you meant a COVID-19 infection injury. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38262150/

I'd say Ben Darmstadt (name of an actual German city) is a pretty good German wrestling name.

Maybe he's not Latino?

Not so sure about that. Parents are Robert and Caroline.

There are no Jewish Italians?

Arujau 2x: once in the quarterfinals and again for third place in 2019 NCAA tournament. Interestingly, Arujau and Rivera are scheduled to face each other in RAF 14 on 10/23...

You are advocating breaking the law now?

So, break the law?

Absolutely.

Nobody outside of the likes of PSU, OSU, tOSU, and Iowa is getting top 5 p2p recruits any more, with rare exceptions. So being surprised if *anyone* outside of those programs lands such a whale should be a given. Michael Turi, as good a recruit as he is, was not going to start for Cornell at 149 for years, if ever. Maybe he hadn't yet been accepted at all (see Knox, Anthony). Maybe he didn't want to sit out a year at SCRTC. De-committing from Cornell and going to Bloomsburg is even more odd than Knox going to Rutgers, and it likely has nothing to do with Grey or his staff. The only times in the past twenty years that they've been a trophy threat were the Dake et al years some fifteen years ago, and the Foca/Ramirez/Cardenas/Vito years. I guess that qualifies as "a few occasions." I'm as big a fan (duh!) as any, and I can't see it happening even with the great current roster and commits.

We don't know all the details behind this decision, of course. Turi was facing three more years of Joy, plus classmate Toscano (higher rated at 149), plus sitting out a season at SCRTC most likely. We wish him well.

Who else gets top 5 p4p recruits? Take a look at https://www.flowrestling.org/rankings/13624348-class-of-2027-high-school-wrestling-big-board/56452-top-100-wrestling-recruits-in-the-class-of-2027 That ain't on Coach Grey.

Yes, he's the likely Cornell starter at 165. It's "Perentin". He beat James last year at the Clarion Open, 4-1. (he happens to be the nephew of a guy I bike with here in NJ)
