  1. Why is Griffith a NCAA champ but Carr is only a former champ? Because Griffith was the defending champion when Ramirez beat him, but Carr is not.
  2. Ramirez now has wins over Griffith (NCAA champ), Carr (former NCAA champ), and two over Monday (NCAA finalist).
  3. That didn't work, either.
  4. I'm using Chrome, and I can't see them.
  5. I won my AG in triathlons many times with a margin of victory smaller than my lead coming out of the water. Sucks to be you.
  6. :51.3 for 100scy. Since my turns sucked, I figure I could have broken 1:00 for 100lcm.
  7. Posted on a *wrestling* forum. Oh, the irony. (at my fastest ever as a Masters swimmer, I could have stayed with Ledecky for any 100m other than her first in that 800m)
  8. Yes, I know freestyle is not folkstyle. Daniel Cardenas (Stanford) lost to Peyton Robb 6-4 and Ed Scott 6-4 in SV at last year's NCAAs. Shapiro beat Cardenas 11-0 at the US Open in April last year. A lot of pressure on Shapiro, to be sure. He really, really doesn't like to lose (not that I've seen him lose in like the last three years!). Just sayin'.
  9. Fernandes was nursing an injury that took him out of the rest of the season (hip surgery afterwards).
  10. Nursing an injury. Reported to not be serious.
  11. At 157, they have Andonian at #3, and Shapiro at #14 (do the math).
  12. Vito Arujau and Meyer Shapiro scoring a combined total of 14.3 points? I'll take the over, thanks. (I understand that what you did, like Asimov's psychohistory, applies to overall trends and not to individuals)
  13. No scoring in the first period. Lovett chose down in the second period, and got the escape in :05. Boyd chose neutral in the third. No other scoring, but Lovett was hit with stalling with :06 left. You can find the details on Flo Arena for that and all other matches they covered.dd
  14. Hardly. He missed the last dual and the Mat Town Open this weekend. Pretty sure he wasn't ducking Sacred Heart.
  15. At least one of your picks definitely won't win: Arujau isn't going (per Coach Grey). Bold call at 157. It will be interesting to see Foca at 184.
  16. Maybe Loew, Cardenas, Foca, and Fernandes can all do a grad transfer to Stanford...
  17. I think that Loew has no time to sit out any more. Pretty sure he's already taken as much time off as he could to avoid graduation. I have no inside information on him or just about anything else.
  18. Cornell's roster page shows Foca at 184 (along with Loew). So, looks permanent.
  19. To do that, he'll have to beat Vito at least twice and perhaps three times this year. January and twice in March.
  20. 16-15 ASU after 184...
  21. Not everyone in a pool wrestles everyone else in the pool. Six guys means three on each side of the pool, and the matches are between sides in the same pool (so three matches each for a six man pool). Ungar and Diakomihalis are probably on the same side at 125, so they'll not face each other.
  22. Looks like one year ineligible and loss of a year of eligibility for betting on a team other than your own at your school.
