  1. 1. Celebrate a man because he identifies as a woman I believe absolutely everyone has the right to celebrate and feel good about themselves. Doesn't matter if you, or I, or anyone else approves or not. Doesn't matter at all. Each of us only comes this way once. Spend your time celebrating yourself and your loved ones instead of bringing others down. Let 'em celebrate. 2. Celebrate sexual choice for an entire month Sexuality isn't as simple as A or B. It just isn't. Live and let live, I say. Do we need a month? No, I don't think so. I don't think we need a month dedicated to much of anything. It's symbolic, it's fine. But I agree that it isn't necessary. Maybe See #1. 3. Put 'tuck' wear and rainbow marketing for children in the storefront That would appear to have been a mistake that was later rectified by the retailer. Doesn't seem like a huge problem now that it has been resolved. After all, men's swim teams have been taught to 'tuck it back' for decades. They seem OK. 4. Fast-force corporations and the government to reflect the nation's diversity rather than the nation's merit I have to admit, I don't know what the heck you're talking about here. Seems like a rabbit hole not worth dropping in. But I do know that our country's diversity and merit are exceptional - as is our tolerance for others, and respect for each other regardless of their beliefs. That's what separates us from the rest of the world and is what makes us truly great. We don't need more hate - we need more tolerance and mutual respect.
  2. "guy is an idiot", you say? That doesn't jive with anything I posted. Maybe read my post again. I spent time assembling those words for a specific message - you seem to have missed it.
  3. In my opinion, an actual "genius" has an area of focus where they are proven to be great. Then, likely because they focus so much of their energy there - they tend to lack skills in other areas, sometimes simple areas (like Einstein forgetting to put on his socks before his shoes.) The thing here is that Musk is no genius. Smart and weird, but not a genius by any stretch. Born and raised in Africa by a wealthy family, he was a spoiled rich kid. His success in the US is largely because he had a lot of money to invest in the ideas of geniuses and to hire even more geniuses. (Something Bill Gates has always said was the basis for his success since the 90's.) It is strange how the media portrays all of Musk's companies' successes as somehow being his ideas and his genius - when neither is even close to being true. Even more strange that US citizens believe it and idolize the guy from Africa who was born into money.
  4. No shit. I don't disagree with you. But maybe watch more closely, and you'll see the same type of juvenile crap from people regardless of their political stance. Not just the posters you are accustomed to disagreeing with. The ones you tend to agree with, too. There is bias.
  5. The reality is that just about any ***duck duck goose** thing is readily available on the internet. Doesn't matter how twisted or perverted - it's all out there. It's not about denying that it's available (since, literally, everything is.) Simply put - I don't understand why someone would have to be viewing that garbage in order to be considered informed. ... or worse. That if we aren't viewing that garbage, that somehow, we are uninformed and aren't entitled to an opinion? Nope, that's not right.
  6. I'll assist you: GOP types get caught with kiddie porn - these folks aren't good. But that doesn't make the entire GOP community bad. Trans types get caught being overtly sexual to kids - these folks aren't good. But that doesn't make the entire trans community bad.
  7. If you have to follow Twitter to be "informed" on a subject - ummm. That's kind of a crazy bar for validation. Since, let's be honest, Twitter is mostly garbage on top of garbage. Weird that anyone would think they'd find anything BUT garbage there. Much less that those that don't follow Twitter are uninformed.
  8. I'm referring primarily to the 'outrage' part there. Folks on this BBS do participate in active discussion, but don't seem terribly outraged most of the time. I can and do appreciate that.
  9. Good post. Hard to define who these "people" are. Mostly a mix of young people who don't know better and aren't even trying. Which, unfortunately, is certainly nothing new.
  10. Flo has always been less than adequate, and they keep finding a way to do less. Twitter has always been top notch... until Musk took over and started slashing everything in order to increase profits. HIS profits. It's beyond me why so many people admire that turd - Musk is only about himself. He's not even close to being worthy of admiration. Hyundai and LG announced plans to build a 4.3-billion-dollar battery plant in the US... while Musk has recently announced that he's building his in China.
  11. I care so little about this convo, no associated goal. Which is good - because nothing is being accomplished. More curious about where you think you are going with it. Which I've already made clear. Careful here - you seem to be crossing that line from weird but not dumb - to weird and dumb. There's no conspiracy theory around this corner. Maybe check the next one.
  12. Do either of us "accomplish" anything here? C'mon sport - you're a weirdo, but not a dumb one.
  13. Shhhh.. quiet down. I'm reading a book on hugging and tenacity. Getting to the good part.
  14. Maybe check with Ukrainians on that 'categorically false' tidbit - it most definitely isn't the "safest time that has ever existed on this planet" for them. Wait, where's the GIF? Slowing down in your old age? C'mon Blackbird, you can do it.
  15. ...or maybe the most dangerous time that has ever existed. Depends on your perspective. Yah, yah, I know - I'm "adorable"... you should post a GIF.
  16. Not always. As I posted - there was a time when guns weren't readily available to everyone. That was the point of my post. Maybe read it again. When guns became readily available to anyone - the lawless were able to obtain them. And the scenario changed. And it hasn't changed much since then. (Again, that was in my 1st post.) There's no hidden message here about passing laws that take away guns. The original message was simple and clear. And you're right, the lawless do love gun laws - now that they are able to obtain them easily.
  17. no thrill, you're just a turd
  18. That's - umm - maybe the most pervy post so far.
  19. That's what they told me you'd say. You f'ing weirdo. It's finally not OK around here. Perv's aren't welcome.
  20. Adorable? If you are attempting to groom me, stop now. I won't go gay or go transgender you freak show.
  21. Maybe you didn't read my post. But your comment here is 100% confirmation of what I wrote. Thanks for that - kind of. Strange that you are using the word "we" for all these things you didn't do. You do realize you weren't part of 'we', right? Not sure I welcome confirmation from a guy who keeps saying 'adorable' - that is getting way weird, too. Maybe reconsider that.
  22. That would be the lawless included in ... "When the guns became readily available to the lawless, gun violence ensued."
  23. Well, that's the post... So weird - gotta think 'ol Trump is in a squabble with his wife. (That would explain why he thinks, as usual, it's all about him.)
  24. ... except that harmony didn't really ever "prevail" in our society when guns were common. It's a nice thought, but it's as mythical as a yeti. It's more of a tale of the guns prevailing than anything else. When one group had the guns, they made the law. When the guns became readily available to the lawless, gun violence ensued. Little has changed since then.
