  1. Mixed in with a lot of excited schoolgirl/fanboy giggles!
  2. 180 is the new 57 kg, but only if weigh ins are in Serbia. All kidding and suspicion aside, I find it very difficult to believe that there was actual weigh in hanky panky in a room full of other 57s.
  3. You might be right! I just remember it being a knock in the past, my apologies to all if he has improved his top game.
  4. The same guy threatened to roll the tanks into Paris! Real tanks, not Abdulrashid Saduleev!
  5. Take a lesson from Nick Lee, hold off Moose early---do not try too hard to get your own scores. Poor Nick.
  6. I can see the difficulty in that situation, but I do think Woods and Alirez respect one another. Is Woods going to continue to compete in wrestling, or is he going to put his Stanford degree to good use in cage fighting?
  7. I'm not sure if Zain, internationally, has been considered great on top. Actually this was a criticism about him for a while. Such a stud collegiately, but unable to get the turns in freestyle. Yes, Zain got a couple turns this weekend, but it honestly would not surprise me if you told me that Lee has scored more points in international tournaments from top in the last six months (three tourneys: Farrell, Pan Am, Last Chance) than Zain has scored over his entire international career. In fact, Zain's most noteworthy par terre attempt up until now may have been the lace where he pinned himself. I am all in for Zain medaling, I just think he is going to have to score a majority of his points on his feet after wearing the opposition down.
  8. Add UCLA and Notre Dame to this list (amongst others)
  9. I mean "someone's brother in law" has got to 100% the best answer here. Are there any current PSU coaches that aren't someone's brother in law?
  10. How many PSU coaches have been active competitors?
  11. A kid? He will be 24 a month from tomorrow. A 23 year old kid. That "kid" has no problem bashing others... that is a lot of what is being spoken about here.
  12. Less than four months ago (January)!!!! She had been interim, prior.
  13. Are you bashing us for having an opinion? How many times have you had a keyboard shoved in your face or made countless posts that were scrutinized by other keyboard warriors? Heaven forbid we discuss the sport or the personalities within... y'know like is done with other NCAA and pro-sports!
  14. Yes, hI certainly would. I believe that he said he was 145 ish after a session at NCAA his junior year. Flo interview? Anyone remember? He has really, really shrunk his body to 57 kg. Doesn't look to be at his healthiest.
  15. Not a lot of NBC mics at U23. Brooks has attacked Islamic beliefs and the prophet Muhammad on live TV before...
  16. I am generally not a person who would jump to Carter's defense, but I can see the jump to 197 not being suspicious. Unfortunately, I was a better weight cutter than wrestler in college. I was walking around at 170+ during the season and wrestling at 150. After the season, without a weight being touched, I ballooned to high 180s in about a month. The weight ended up not being fat, but almost like I re-inflated my muscles. I can see this happening with Carter. BTW it is becoming more and more apparent that part of PSU's "fun" is weight cutting. A number of their stars have been revealed to be big cutters. Brooks. RBY. Starocci. Taylor. Haines. Davis. I thought the narrative was that they didn't like to cut?
  17. That is not what is "head in the hole" in most of the country, but maybe in some areas. for most people "head in the hole" if a FHL finish. Tom Brands definitely used that lace in 96.
  18. Exactly on both points. DT was a master of using (predominantly) folkstyle turns on top vs the world.
  19. Especially with his dominance on top in folk.
  20. He has recently been revealed to be somewhat immature, quite egotistical, a conspiracy theorist, and likens himself to Jesus? Other than that not much...
  21. I didn't bring up the Zain quote, you will have to ask that poster. Please follow along. I don't hate the nits, but many of their fans are unbearably hypocritical. I rather like Taylor, Nolf, Ed Ruth, Nick Lee, Bartlett. Several of the more recent lads have come off as quite obnoxious though. The fun thing is that things in the wrestling world are about to change...
