  1. You gave PSU a bit too much credit as usual. The "outside step" did not "start" there, which is what you said. That is all. Have the guts to stick by your own words, sir. And yes, they are good at it, but so is Sidakov.
  2. Factually incorrect
  3. You said they started it, no? That sounds a lot like they invented it, no? But I never used "invented", I used your term: started. ... and actually... about 25 minutes ago, you literally claimed you never said they "started it"
  4. that's not what I said. I said a loose genre of attacks "seem to start there a trickle down". Meaning they'll likely be more familiar with Keck's tactics than say, Dustin Plott, who never seemed to know what keck was gonna do next. This is what was said.
  5. It has been over 20 years since Saitiev won, in that case.
  6. If we are sticking to freestyle, why isn't it Medved?
  7. Jordan is a bit extra-physical with the handfight between the whistles. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of some of JBs tactics (at least not domestically), but it is done between the whistles. MM, whom I really like, was doing it OOB and after the whistle. A bit cheaper. Then you have Rutherford whom has poked more people in the eye than all three stooges.
  8. Well you said it 'started there.'
  9. How many videos and articles need to be posted? "I mean... I'll go heavyweight... it really don't matter." (about the 4:50 mark of the video posted above.) Apparently it does matter?
  10. I don't know? Sidakov looked pretty good with that outside step... I would even say Kemmerer hit it on Mark Hall to ice the match. Hall had great defense and seemed to be dumbfounded briefly, as if he hadn't seen it a lot. Guaranteed, he was also being Carvered for the second time in his career, so that may have affected his defense. A rare second Carvering...
  11. Although, I think MM did get cradled at least once last year, maybe even in a match that he won by tech?
  12. Or Cael is being funny and they don't monitor anything...
  13. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/12505692-carter-starocci-announces-return-to-penn-state-for-the-2024-25-season
  14. Because carter said he was going 197, and could even go 285 if needed? That is why! Now he's "too small." He looked around the same size as Trent Hidlay when they wrestled...
  15. Great wrestler, but also what he would refer to as a "blow bag" if it were anyone else making that challenge.
  16. Great post. Agreed with pretty much everything, but also remember DT having a significant knee injury at BTS.
  17. Not only did he say he was going 197, he also expressed a willingness to wrestle 285 if called upon.
  18. I honestly thought there might be some sort of parody in this thread.
  19. https://www.pennlive.com/penn-state-wrestling/2024/02/several-ailing-penn-state-wrestlers-on-the-mend-according-to-cael-sanderson.html?outputType=amp “These guys are in great shape and just their core temperature is, on average, lower than the general population. A small spike in their temperature is different than somebody who’s just coming in off the street, so we kind of struggle with some of that stuff sometimes. But he’s ready to roll now. He’s gonna compete, he’s a tough kid.”
  20. "Home team" In freestyle? Does that mean MM is allowed to get chippy and instigate JB? Instigation, shoving, wrestling after the whistle, wrestling out of bounds by MM is fine, then? Amazing how many people don't comment on that stuff.
  21. MM was at least 20, possibly 21.
  22. Not really a rival, though? I don't think Iowa was very good. Has to be the man they used to call "Bail Sanderson" going to PSU after his mentor was pushed out of the ISU job. I understand why he did it, and it has worked out.... but he went from the top job at a historically significant program to come to PSU. None of these other guys left head coaching positions that were gifted to them.
  23. Great to see this thread starting up on this board!
  24. ... and how often is he hitting his trapped arm gut at the senior level? The one what he set up with a leg-in? It is still a great technique, but my guess is that everyone has gameplanned it.
  25. Its part of the joke, bro. It works better this way. Guess what? His name also doesn't have a "u" in it. "I'm currently a member of the USA National Wrestling Team and train in State College, PA, with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club. In addition to competing in international wrestling competitions, I also work part-time as an Associate of Sales at ABR Dynamic Funds." This is from "Linked in" which also mentions that he is a coach at NLWC. Nice try though.
