  1. Although he can be somewhat controversial with his statements, Nashon is generally an interesting interview. His "retirement interview" with Bader was excellent if you can get through the talk of 'Nashon's parallel universe vs. Cory Clark's parallel universe' and a few other things. At the end, Bader asks him to talk about some of the guys he wrestled. Nashon brings up his respect for Austin Desanto and discusses this match that I linked. Nashon was up 8-0, saw a look in Desanto's eyes and knew Desanto was going to keep coming. At that point Nashon made the interesting decision to see what it would be like to try to match Desanto's pace. It is a great match to watch, but didn't work out well for Nashon. What an interesting decision to make (try to wrestle to your opponent's greatest strength), but I can certainly respect it.
  2. Does he? He may, but last I checked, I thought it was Jesse Leng, Jeff Jordan, Tommy Rowlands, and Nancy Schultz at about 25% each.
  3. Probably not enough people or enough time! Rudis isn't Nike!
  4. Snyder also didn't get teched by Brazil at Pan Ams.
  5. I mean... it was right from a guy's mouth. Like not a big deal. I don't think it is a surprise to anyone, but the way it was treated did surprise my brother.
  6. My brother is a pretty successful businessman (it doesn't run in the family) and was invited by one of his corporate partners to go on aa multi-city road trip with an NBA team. He stayed in the same hotel, flew on the plane, etc. He was sitting on a flight with an ex-player (current announcer) who has a relative in the league. He couldn't believe how openly the announcer was talking about how all the players have different girls in each town. It was very matter of fact.
  7. I just heard Barr talking about the mentorship of Kyle Snyder...
  8. Why would PSU delete a Snyder thread? It has been established (since this weekend) that he has absolutely no association with PSU! This PSU involvement was all a crazy rumor that seems to come up around WTT, OTT, and UWW events.
  9. Pretty good ! Got a bit serious for a few minutes even, when "Core-dog" went off the rails. I would put it over the "Eastbound and Down" finale, but probably not "Vice Principals"
  10. It was indeed. You could get hundreds of thousands of dollars for all that copper today!
  11. You mean the statue that some on here have insisted is a founding document and the "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" quote is basically as sacred as the constitution?
  12. I I think there is no "perfect build" for wrestling. The sport is about how you use your build and gifts against the other guy's. It isn't like we are racing a clock or a distance; we are using our physical dimensions (and speed, strength , flexibility, brains, etc) to create problems for our opponents and advantages for ourselves. Unlike racing, we have multiple avenues to victory. Different techniques and strategies work better based on our advantages and our opponents builds/skills/etc.
  13. I was thinking Baby Billy's Bible Bonkers
  14. Not that it matters, but where does it say who he was meeting?
  15. That and "Brooks was closer to winning gold than Spencer Lee."
  16. He has often been mentioned as being PSU on this board. "PSU has four USA Olympians Zain, Dake, Brooks, and Snyder." I would say: "They have two: Zain and Brooks. Snyder and Dake went to OSU and Cornell and are NLWC." The response would be something like: "They are PSU now. When they actually wanted to get good, they moved to State College. They are in the PSU room every day. They help the PSU kids and root for PSU." The same was said about Gilman.
  17. I'll be very surprised if this has any effect on his competition status. Didn't he basically receive a ticket?
  18. Sandhagen is notoriously bad on the mic and probably knows it. Bo is also horrendous on it; but clearly does not know it because he will gladly embarrass himself at every opportunity.
  19. I'm just saying that if RDR's English is not strong that it might account for the lack of RDR interviews in American MMA media.
