I hear you entirely. I might tweak that a bit, but it's current setup is absolutely nonsense. EDIT: Actually I have the exact same thing.

You understand the Simmons bros and Gomez were there 20 years ago now, right? Having the same room, just older and more worn, while pulling in B1G moneys? That is horrible conditions.

This is precisely how they did it last Olympics, too. It also royally screws up the consis as well. See below for an example of how 74 KG was. -
Add in that Thompson has senior level aspirations in Freestyle, so he does need to get up to 86 KG (~189.6lbs) sooner rather than later.

This thread is TLDR... That said, I thought that I should chime in insofar as the current state, post-tournament. My opinion, again I haven't even read the subject, just the thread title - but there is far too much racism going rampant in today's women's basketball for us to strive to be anything like them. We already have enough Anthony Noto characters running amok.

This is one of those that if the call on the mat was a Takedown, it needs to stay a Takedown. If it wasn't a Takedown it needs to remain not a Takedown. Unless there is some sort of other evidence that we can obviously not see (which I imagine there is), then I see no way that either call could have been overturned with 'no reasonable doubt' being the criteria. So yes, it appears Chamizo was absolutely pegged.

Pushouts in MGR =/= pushouts in MFS. Different styles. It is a matter of physics as to why it helps more at HWT. It sucks being under fat guys, so HWTs shoot less. -

What is odd to me is that McFadden, who is an average 79 KG guy didn't look small against McIntosh. It was even more odd that Pyle said McFadden wrestled 157/165 which he clearly said to make it seem like a larger gap. I wanted to slap him for that one. -

Brands is a poor example. He is a bloated 74 KG or 165lber. -

I think 57 KG isn't actually that hard to seed... 1 - Richards 2 - Gilman 3 - Fix 4 - Spencer 5 - Suriano 6 - Megaludis 7 - Figueroa 8 - Cronin 9 - DeShazer 10 - Lilledahl 11 - Blaze 12 - Forrest Keep in mind there isn't an actual criteria now, but many factors will be considered. Blaze did beat Forrest, while it was Folkstyle - it did happen. Figs just won natties and I think he will be given decent credit for that (even if it was Folkstyle it is a qualifying tournament). Figs in the 10-12 range as well, fwiw. I could see them putting Spencer ahead of Fix based on Spencer being active on the circuit, but Fix has been our guy at 57 KG before - Spencer has not. I think the committee will respect that Megaludis has had two times to beat Spencer in the last six months and got beaten soundly both times, so they'll opt for a different (potential) QF. -

Man 74 KG is a shit show. 1 - Burroughs 2 - Nolf 3 - O'Toole 4 - Carr 5 - Starocci 6 - Mesenbrink 7 - Monday 8 - Marinelli 9 - Cenzo 10 - Facundo 11 - Berger 12 - Jacques 13 - Shapiro 14 - Haines 15 - Lockett I think 1-2-3 are set in stone, basically. You have a decent range of who could be where. I have a feeling that they will try to keep the NLWC gents away from each other in the first round. Not sure how many coaches who will have in this seeding meeting. I would love to be a fly on the wall there. I could see Starocci above Carr, I could also see Mesenbrink above Carr. Cenzo could be as high as 6 and and as low as 10 (I don't see him being below Berger). Jacques could be dropped below Haines. Shapiro does have a world medal and Haines does not, but Haines just dominated the weight at NCAAs that Shapiro placed 3rd in. -

Unless Eierman retires from competition, I think he should consider giving 70 KG a proper go. He was clearly out of it at 65 KG. If his aim is to wrestle for an Olympic spot proper, he needs to head to 74 KG. -

He looked off in every match. He was out of position far too often and waddling around. I am curious if he had to cut too much weight to make weight or if he might have had some sort of injury that kept him out of both the Farrell and Senior Nats. He has typically been a guy to go to most tournaments. -
I imagine many different schools might have reached out after that performance.
