  1. For 165? What about Ruiz?
  2. He isn't even 50 yet. I doubt it. I am a CMU fan. I would much prefer Metcalf at this stage in their careers... but fortunately for Metcalf he is probably looking a B1G job next, if he so chooses it.
  3. The last three years, CMU is 143W - 125L and Wiscy is 107W - 112L in the same span. Your point is quite irrelevant.
  4. With all the complications MSU is getting in the other sports, specifically the revenue ones, you aren't going to see it unless Chandler and Co do something dramatic and stupid. There is no reason to. There is no urge from administration to be in the Top Tier or Two... hell even the third tier.
  5. Facundo's best friend is looking to be the 184lber next season and he is looking to be the 174lber - if Starocci leaves or doesn't come back. I don't think he leaves. Bearclaw could be a serviceable 165lber at a MAC or EIWA or SOCON school for a season. Hell, he is from Utah. Perhaps Utah Valley for a season? He does have MFS aspirations, so NLWC/Penn State is his best long-term option though.
  6. So we are okay ignoring the dumpster fire that is Wisconsin, then? Again, I know Mr. Reader personally and watch his son grow up - both him and Brent Metcalf couldn't have a bigger, unrelated fan than me during their scholastic and collegiate careers. I am a fan of Michigan wrestling. The state of Michigan wrestling. Reader would be a home run homer pick, but the administration shouldn't ignore the dumpster fire that is Wisconsin when making a decision on him. It is quite simple: "Indifference to bad, evil, or incompetence is worse than bad, evil, or incompetence." That is just an opinion, though. Also, when you say most of the guys don't like Bennett, I have a feeling you are getting that information from one or two guys that have that opinion. Wrestling is tough. Some kids don't have that grit. That's fine.
  7. That would be ideal for Reader. At this stage, not for CMU, if you take in to consideration the optics from Wiscy - right now.
  8. The kid has senior level aspirations. He needs to grow in to 184lbs.
  9. Fish does have a redshirt to use, so that would be a good situation for him. Edit: Or Fish at 165 and Hamiti at 174 w/ a Thompson redshirt (to grow in to 184 after Plott is gone).
  10. If Reader stays, I imagine Amos does. Reader isn't all bad. He should get some of the flack, but if he wants to be taken seriously as a HC candidate at a decent institution, he likely cannot remain Bono's AHC. Bono is a turdbiscuit and today's wrestlers coming up know and understand what that means.
  11. Ya'll gents can tell when I post from my phone. I have so many spelling errors it is comical.
  12. Ctrl + F for the rest of us uncultured swine. Also there is nothing stopping people from actually typing a tournament name in the search bar. Not defending Flo, just trying to make sure that it isn't woeful ignorance attacking them. They have so many reasons to be critical of them, not being able to search isn't one of them.
  13. Vote and discuss...
  14. I hope he doesn't try to make 197lbs. I forget after which tournament, but he looked massive and an interviewer asked him about what he was weighing, since 97 KG was 'like' 20lbs higher and he said something along the lines of 'God don't remind me. I am having to cut more weight to make 97 than I was 197 so I don't know how I'm going to do that.' Then he deflected when asked about going 285lbs and said he would do whatever the coaching staff thought best for him and for the team.
  15. I mean, the end result doesn't show so much as it was basically an improvement one one spot for Oly (two guys left the weight class so 8-2=6 and he placed 5th) but he was getting handled by Hamiti before the transfer. Afterwards he won every time. Oly improved drastically. It should be assumed that Hamiti will as well. Especially with their coaching staff and training situations they have going on there. (Plott >>>>>>>>>> Maylor).
  16. I will see your 2002 Sanderson motion and raise you the 2024 Sanderson sequencing.
  17. I want you to make this your signature. It actually makes sense.
  18. Their wrestling room is what is shit. They have top of the line facilities otherwise (weight room, etc.)
  19. They may look at common opponents from this cycle. Whoever will be on topside likely has Miracle so being bottom has it's benefits. That said, bottom has current USA Wrestling Women's College Wrestler of the year in Nwachukwu. At this point in their respective careers the top might be the better spot.
  20. You understand their facilities dictate that they can likely only put the flames out. There is no fixing the dumpster fire without improving the room they actually train in.
  21. We will get to see it in WFS at 62 KG, so that should be fun.
  22. Hrmmm... 41 points. That would have entrenched them to 3rd place, with 88 points. Edit: To add to this, their 133/141 dept at that point was complete trash... they weren't making that up.
  23. The Michigan State and Wisconsin situations are entirely different. Wisconsin is whiffing on the greatest in-state recruiting surge in Wisconsin in... possibly ever, simply because Bono is a turdbiscuit and Askren doesn't like him because he is a turdbiscuit. Also saying they have a situation similar to Northwestern is wrong, as well. They lost one guy. Might be the biggest returning points scorer, but it is still one guy - not three. State losing two is much more similar to Northwestern. I don't see it happening to Rutgers. Goodale has a great atmosphere going on there and the fan interest is as high there as any institution in the country, bar none. As far as Purdue? Ersland keeps bringing in recruits, not outsourcing them... that could change though, I suppose.
  24. Man they really whiffed on the best time to be getting recruits from the state of Wiscy, didn't they? Imagine a roster that includes those AWA gents.
  25. People are just pissy that the portal paid off for Michigan. Penn State doesn't get as much flack either, but they do get flack because it's easier to hate them for winning everything. It didn't pay off for OSU or Iowa. If it had, they would be the punch line.
