  1. He was slightly less successful in High School, however still an absolute hammer. I have always thought him as good as Evan here, and his results are now.
  2. Oh, the Iowa State team that could have been. At least they won every single toss-up. Echemendia as the 141lb starter doesn't seem such a guarantee at this point.
  3. So to summarize this last offseason: - Askren turned the job down - In anger, or response(?), administration extended Bono - Wiscy regresses to the lowest it's been in the Wrestelstat era (dual rank) with many injury issues I wish Reader would get out of his shadow and show what he is capable of, although I am thankful that Bennett was able to tab the spot at CMU instead of Reader.
  4. Amos 2029 NCAA D1 285lb 6th placer! *I jest and wish we could get a healthy Amos on the mat.
  5. Kerk can win those 1-0, 2-0 matches and not be in danger. I would expect that gap to be wider against Slav, especially after he had a 9-0 Major in their last match. 100% is still nearly double 52%, but I acknowledge what you're saying is also true. I don't give three deuces if Harer was 272-0 in high school (Ahem, Justin Zeerip), until you put-out against NCAA D1, or comparable competition (MFS senior level), you aren't on the same level as a returning 3rd placer. He beat Taylor last week via 9-3 Decision, so I would think the gap would be wider than six points, at the very least.
  6. Kerk wrestled a safe gameplan to win against a guy who is fast, explosive, and strong. He coasted. No problem with that, but he wins the match the way it was wrestled 10/10 times. Bartlett just won by more than one takedown against a guy who has three other losses on the season by one takedown (or less). That is like MM winning via techfellery. He didn't look bad. I am not sure why thinking he should have a wide margin on an AA quality wrestler is a requirement for him to do well. He won that match pretty easily. LL looked like the cut might be a thing. He is at 133 for them next year. Davis at 141. Barr with a 1M19S techfall against Poz? HFS. To put that in to perspective, here are his other losses via bonus: 2023-24 season- - 3/21/24, NCAAs via 14-4 MAJ to Tanner Sloan 2022-23 season- - NONE 2021-22 season- - 1/16/22, Penn State dual via 10-2 MAJ to Aaron Brooks (184) 2020-21 season- - 3/6/21, B1Gs via 10-2 MAJ to Aaron Brooks (184) B1G champ vs B1G champ? Davis wins? Not impressive, but he got the dub against another high profile guy. VanDee might just wrestle Michigan guys tough. That could be a thing. Kasak 4-0 over Harer? That one was perplexing and concerning. This is the same guy that a HEW-Ed Scott techfalled rather easily. Turley putting up a fight against Haines wasn't a surprise. I think Haines gets bonus next time, if they meet again. While it was close, it really wasn't. Haines was never in danger. Starocci with the techfellery on SCW? Is it insane to think that a 4x champ has nearly doubled his bonus rate from last year as of now? 52% VS 100%...
  7. It's not really that bold, honestly. He is as much a lock as anybody, imho.
  8. To help you out a bit...
  9. I think he strives to start and be a star, which was what I meant. ChatGPT spits this out:
  10. Holding his weight down makes very little sense. Most OLB that are being drafted high are in the ~255-265lb range aren't they?
  11. He was 235.3 at National Duals.
  12. He won 88lbs in Fargo the same year that Dom Bradley won HWT then went on to beat Dom Bradley at HWT WTT. Furthermore Zillmer had said on many occasions, when asked about Steveson's potential return, that making 97 KG wouldn't be an issue were that to come up and that he was in the 225-230 range.
  13. Davino at 141 or 133 and bump Bouzakis to 141?
  14. Didn't Washington or Washington State say a few years ago that their plan was to have a D1 team within a few years?
  15. A lot of states do Team States then Individual States the following weekend. Do the same thing.
  16. I was asking a question on clarity. What defines being overrated, to you?
  17. As a note: Parris got surgery on his neck soon after. He then had an undefeated hodge season, avenging each Kerk loss along the way. Edit: Parris was winning that match late and wouldn't stop trying to shoot under the 300lb mammoth.
  18. To be overrated wouldn't people have to be picking him to win it all? At the vert least place 2nd? He beat last years 2nd placer twice without ever being in danger of losing. At NCAAs Kerk, the NC, was gifted a 1-0 decision against him. He was the only guy to make Kerk break a sweat.
  19. Who has placed 4th then won it all? That was what I was asking. I know the B1G is the standard. We're OP in wrestling.
  20. #4 in the B1G = #1 NCAA In NCAA D1 wrestling, has anyone gotten 4th place at B1Gs (team or individual) and followed it up with a Natty Daddy?
  21. I am good with this. I understand your point, I just don't agree to it. Had this been a question three or four years ago, I likely agree with you. NIL and all of that has changed the game entirely.
  22. Taye Ghadiali anyone?
  23. Fair point.
  24. You are entitled to an opnion. As I said, your opnion doesn't matter, which is my opinion as well. He earned it. It is up to him to determine you to spend it. If you earn a $25,000 bonus at your place of employment and you don't use it within a year, do other people get to determine if they want to take it back?
