  2. I was really hoping we would se him at WTT.
  3. As well as Mora.
  4. If they end up heading to the same place, that would be badass. Rhodes will be a serviceable starter, even a contender in the MAC or SOCON. The same can likely be said for Bradley.
  5. Glazier would likely (easily) start for them at 197lbs. The Siebrechts would likely need to head to a different weight to start, unless the SDSU incumbents 'decide' to head to a different weight (school)? Swensen has been 157lbs his entire career, whereas Siebrencht went up from 149lbs the year before his suspension (two seasons ago). If Cade intends to start, he will have to supplant Alek Martin. Martin is clearly better right now. Another option is both drop in weight, with Cade going 141lbs. A much easier path, where the scale is his biggest opponent, and Cobe going 149lbs... which would be with the intent of replacing Martin then. Cobe is probably the better wrestler at 149 or 157, so he likely gets choice. So Swensen to 165lbs, then? Cade hasn't had his shot, yet, but has been in the room, so he could be right there with Cobe as far as skill and aptitude goes.
  6. An interesting note to this is that LRA returns their starter at 149lbs from last year as well as another incoming transfer (from Northern Illinois) in Jaivon Jones. All three likely thought they would have a starting spot this year, so there will be competition for this spot. Jaivon is a senior and really came on towards the end of the season with some very tight matches against NQ/AA. I imagine they try to make a spot for him, with him dropping to 141lbs, or perhaps having the Bianchi boys each go up in weight (165/174 rather than 157/165, which is already 2/3 weight classes above where they started out in LRA) and having either Jones or Williams go 157lbs.
  7. I thought getting far too intoxicated was the first step, following by a deep consumption of eleven to twelve pounds of well marbled Delmonico?
  8. He was active until 2020 U23s. He has basically been banged up since.
  9. Teemer was then pulled out. Buchanan was a few years ago, so... Pewpew... Will Smith Movie-esque.
  10. FIFY
  11. Did you check the old TheMat forums? Your other postulations hold merit, though.
  12. Not once - ever!
  13. Someone did a few years ago and I believe we were all rather shocked that it was ~30%+ more popular than MFS internationally.
  14. This discussion happens at least a few times a year, it seems. It is difficult for our US gents to comprehend that MFS is not as popular worldwide. Someone even gathered data from most UWW events as well as Russian age level nationals over a few year span in one and once you go down the other UWW events that take place not only in Europe but Asia as well, the disparity between the two gets worse. MGR is far superior worldwide insofar as popularity. It was even broken down to not include 'local' athletes (meaning no Polish gents if in Poland). You have to consider that to go to Poland, even if from another European country, it isn't exactly cheap. You need hotel(s), transportation, entry fees, etc. So for it to be roughly ~30% or more insofar as entries go, that is saying something. I am of the mind that if we were to transition to MGR and MFS in college it would help both styles tremendously. Have the coinflip dictate who gets choice, like football. In football when you choose to kick or receive, the other guy gets to choose which side. So in wrestling, you can pick whether you start at MGR or MFS, the other guy can choose what weight to start at - or if someone chooses the weight, the other guy can choose MGR or MFS, with the weights alternating. There would be an interesting dynamic for individual tournaments. If a school does one individual tournament (Midlands) they can choose MFS, but if they do a second, they must participate in a MGR one as the second one.
  15. Akors?
  16. I think he meant make Travis go down from 157 to 149lbs.
  17. I want to be on your team here. I truly do. The fact that this is what you get when you search Ohio State... it is what kills you. Also, Oklahoma State has a massive trump card (no pun intended)...
  18. Any smoke as to where they started? Or why?
  19. There is only one OSU by my count as well as any other reasonable count. OSU = Oklahoma State OSUW = Oregon State tOSU = Ohio State
  20. Where is his farewell to Penn, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma State?
  21. So those totally dogging on OSU and DT might not know the intricacies of what was happening behind the scene? You don't say?
  22. Arizona State was the best place last year. Princeton the year before.
  23. I can't stress enough how little the rest of the world cares about Folkstyle wreslting and the weight classes that they use.
  24. Isn't he supposed to be going 197lbs in a few months? Why would he drop to 174lbs? He either sits or goes 92 KG, right?
