  1. Interesting... O'Toole > Carr Haines > O'Toole Carr > Haines No match was close
  2. Beat you to it!
  3. Also, did Valencia and Arujau both have to make weight this AM as well?
  4. I took it as 70 and 79 will have semifinals and finals today. Unsure the times, though.
  5. I am referencing right now, for when the votes are currently at.
  6. It is hilarious to me that as many people give PD3 a chance as Zahid at winning the entire thing. It's even more hilarious to me that PD3 might very well face Taylor in the 2nd round as the 8th seed (if Mirasola is seeded above him). So there are as many people giving him a chance to beat DT, then the next two matches, then Zahid in a best of three than Zahid beating anyone else in the best of three. That is how big a favorite that DT is to 'the people' on here. It is folly to consider anyone else a potential victor.
  7. Those are specific to Olympic Trials and if they are medalists at non-Olympic weights. One example that was given during these were that Snyder would get a bye if he went up to 125 KG because he wasn't a medalist at a non-Olympic weight.
  8. I decided to quote again rather than 'edit' my last post, but I could completely understand/see if they considered ladder as a priority.
  9. Not if the H2H happened a few months ago. Who did Marsteller lose to that would warrant him being placed below Thicclay? Dieringer? He isn't in this bracket. Marsteller > Thicclay > Dieringer > Marsteller If you remove Dieringer there is no loop. It is only Marsteller > Thicclay Aside for their results at 86 KG, neither have recent results at 92 KG that would matter. Thicclay wrestled 92 KG at the 2021 WTT, but his matches were all against guys who aren't wrestling anymore.
  10. No, but at the same time a great resounding yes. He will have to wrestle matches to get there, but they won't be matches.
  11. What's more is that a few years ago, just after 2021 Olympics, he looked like he got REAL big. Videos and pictures of him recently show him appearing much more slim. I think it's doable. Does physically able also mean logistically allowed?
  12. I actually prefer Folkstyle to Freestyle, despite what my eccentrics on these forums may exhibit. That said, if the rest of the world does not get behind this, I cannot get behind it either.
  13. What if Marsteller goes 92 KG? He gets the 1 seed, right? He beat Hidlay at OTT, albeit at 86 KG. If that happens and Mirasola somehow gets slotted above Downey, we could see Downey - Marsteller in the QF.
  14. Who TF voted for Zahid?
  15. Yes. Yes he is. I say that with tonnes of love and affection.
  16. OMFG IT'S HAPPENING GUYS
  17. In college he was as well. When he transitions to full-time coaching, he will be well sought-out.
  18. Jamison is under 141 already and Young was at 149.
  19. Keep in mind that both Aiello and Macch are both coming back down from 97 KG. The effect can be beneficial or negative.
  20. I am not sure how they will seed gents who entered after 'pre' seeds were released. I do hope they do actually re-seed. If not, and you slide Haines in at 18, that would put him up against a large, multiple time NQ at 174lbs in Utah Valley's Romero then Burroughs. Romero was always as solid as they come, just had a lot of injury problems. If he is healthy and has been putting in the work, it could be a helluva welcome to 174lbs (79 KG). As far as Connor, we have already seen what he can do at 86 KG against most of this field. He did get the first takedown on Aaron Brooks, something that no other 197lber in the country was able to do throughout the entire NCAA season. OTT - David McFadden win via DEC 4 - 0 - Aaron Brooks loss via DEC 11 - 5 - Max Dean loss via TECH 12 - 2 US Open - Justin Rademacher won via DEC 5 - 0 Senior Nationals - Owen Webster won via DEC 7 - 1 - Max Dean won via DEC 9 - 6 - Mark Hall loss via DEC 9 - 2 - Evan Wick won via DEC 5 - 4 - Max Dean loss via DEC 8 - 4 Bill Farrell - Evan Wick won VIA Pinfellery - Alex Dieringer loss via DEC 9-3 - Mark Hall loss via DEC 4-1 I don't see him being able to beat a Hidlay or a Taylor, but there is no reason to believe that he won't be right there with the rest of them, if not beating them soundly. He is coming off a 'down' performance at U20s, but he has been at this weight and preparing for this weight for some time now.
  21. Added the Mirasola brothers and Haines to the tier list. I know one of the Mirasola brothers entered then pulled, but I left him on there. Below is where I might put them both (for seeds). For clarity, it was Cole (the larger brother) is the one that was entered last night, then this morning is not entered.
  22. What you said is true however, the weight is a variable, meaning that it is just a number reported. They put a number in and then it fills the number (weight class) automatically. If they weighed in, it will show what weight class they weighed at for it. The ones you look at that have the Red X and no weight means a weight wasn't reported. The downside to having weight entered in, if you fail, is that you are now on the clock for descent and your coaches will be held accountable if you lose weight too rapidly. Some schools will do the weight part of the certification after the hydration, skinfold, etc that way they can know if they can get to the weight class that they need/want prior to weighing in. They aren't supposed to do it that way, but a lot of folks do.
  23. The Red X means they failed something else (hydration probably), they made that weight, though. The weight listed is what they weighed at (so if he was 184, it means 174.1-184.0). We use trackwrestling for our alphas as well and that is how it has been explained to us. That is HS - vs NCAA, though. There could be a difference.
