I think you all are failing to realise how hard it is to major Plott. Plott is in his fifth full season thanks to covid. Only one man has ever been able to get a major decision against him.
Woah impressive statistical analysis.
You're too thick to realize you're not proving anything about Ferrari, which is the topic of the argument. You're only showing that Keckeisen is a level above Plott, which no one is arguing. No one is saying Plott is a title contender this year.
You already said that Plott is a level above everyone except for Carter and Keck. Your quote was that Plott is "tier 2 by himself" So if Ferrari shows himself to be a level above Plott... that puts him up with the title contenders.
All your"statistics" (lol) proved was that Keckeisen clearly has Plott's number. Plott has cleared the rest of the field pretty convincingly. Only two guys can ultimately contend for the title. Majoring Plott and keeping Starocci from scoring on you puts you in the conversation
There can be more than two guys who are considered title contenders... So far Ferrari has shown he can keep Starocci from getting a takedown. If he then shows he has the offense to beat Plott convincingly, then of course he should be considered a title contender
This argument makes no sense. Keckeisen is a title contender. It's absurd to say otherwise. So if Ferrari beats Plott in a fashion similar to Keckeisen, then he can reasonably be considered a title contender. No one besides Keckeisen has beat Plott since 2023
well if you're penalizing Miller for missing the Purdue dual, you'll also need to penalize Teemer and Kasak for the duals they missed. And now you're back where you started
And ignoring matches where one guy quits in the middle for whatever reason is a bad path to go down imo
I didn't mention a they. I'm speaking to you, who wants to penalize someone for missing an event. If you care about being fair and consistent, then you have to apply that to everyone. Maybe I was being generous in assuming you want to be consistent and not just make arguments ad hoc that favor your guy.
Miller is ahead of Kasak because he has the win in their head-to-head and he's undefeated. You don't have to think he's better (ranking), but you do have to acknowledge it as a win (seeding).
If you want to penalize people for not wrestling scheduled events, I'm fine with that. But you have to do it for everyone regardless of their stated reason for missing.
Aaron Brooks officially has pulled out of the match against Zahid, unfortunately. Trent Hidlay will take his place

I wouldn't call what OSU did poaching. Hendrickson literally wasn't allowed to continue wrestling with Air Force so he had to go somewhere. The other 3 for one reason or another wanted to change things up in their final year after not having as much success as they had hoped for.
