  1. well if you're penalizing Miller for missing the Purdue dual, you'll also need to penalize Teemer and Kasak for the duals they missed. And now you're back where you started And ignoring matches where one guy quits in the middle for whatever reason is a bad path to go down imo
  2. I didn't mention a they. I'm speaking to you, who wants to penalize someone for missing an event. If you care about being fair and consistent, then you have to apply that to everyone. Maybe I was being generous in assuming you want to be consistent and not just make arguments ad hoc that favor your guy.
  3. Miller is ahead of Kasak because he has the win in their head-to-head and he's undefeated. You don't have to think he's better (ranking), but you do have to acknowledge it as a win (seeding). If you want to penalize people for not wrestling scheduled events, I'm fine with that. But you have to do it for everyone regardless of their stated reason for missing.
  4. 1. Every coach is thinking about seeds. Not a big revelation there. 2. Rankings are different than seedings.
  5. Aaron Brooks officially has pulled out of the match against Zahid, unfortunately. Trent Hidlay will take his place Spencer Lee Vs. Masanosuke Ono Match Order Cruzer Dominguez vs Hayden Schwab Abdi Unle vs Alexander Pierce Riley Johnson vs Lincoln Jipp Nathan Tomasello vs Daniel DeShazer Marcus Coleman vs Jay Aiello Xochitl Mota-Pettis vs Melanie Nahomi Amanda Martinez vs Zeltzin Hernandez Nate Jackson vs Kennedy Monday Austin DeSanto vs Seth Gross Bryce Andonian vs Austin Gomez Zahid Valencia vs Trent Hidlay David Carr vs Daichi Takatani Spencer Lee vs Masanosuke Ono https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/13696898-spencer-lee-vs-ono-complete-match-order-flowrestling-night-in-ameri
  6. I'll await Carter's tweet bemoaning Cael wanting to make wrestling boring
  7. UFC Fight Pass college wrestling for $3/month
  8. I wouldn't call what OSU did poaching. Hendrickson literally wasn't allowed to continue wrestling with Air Force so he had to go somewhere. The other 3 for one reason or another wanted to change things up in their final year after not having as much success as they had hoped for.
  9. Do the conferences follow the NCAA seeding rules?
  10. According to Jordan himself, David Taylor and the staff saved his life. https://www.ocolly.com/sports/wrestling/jordan-williams-reflects-on-how-osu-coaches-saved-my-life/article_4a038ae4-e4a4-11ef-9422-3fb4ae44f7a9.html
  11. He's got Askren's funk and his brain power
  12. 165 is one of the weakest weights this year. That's not his fault and it's also not his fault his coach schedules cupcakes, but quality of competition matters.
  13. Branch is hilarious
  14. His arms look pretty long to me, which is an advantage for his style of wrestling and if you can melt people with pace it means you for sure have big physical advantages with some combination of lung capacity, aerobic efficiency, lactate threshold, etc
  15. I think if Chael posted he would just post as himself, but he's got enough people to talk wrestling with and most of them are former or current wrestlers
  16. His stuff is usually behind a paywall, but he was nice enough to tweet this one out. PJ Duke is his #1 Of the top 22 (see the text of his tweet), OK State has 6, Iowa has 3 (4 with Miller), Penn State has 3, VaTech has 3, Cornell has 2, Missouri has 2, and NC State has 2.
  17. the dude just loves college wrestling. He wrestled for Oregon. From his NWHOF bio: Chael Sonnen was an All-American at 190 pounds for the University of Oregon in 1998 and was a two-time Pac-10 conference runner-up. He also had a successful career in Greco-Roman wrestling, winning University National titles in 1999 and 2000 at 187.25 pounds.
  18. Juicing removes fiber and potentially other nutrients. DT should know it's best to consumer whole fruits and vegetables.

  20. In Bo's pre-announcement, he talked about wanting a place that would fit well for his brothers, so it sounds like they're a package deal. In today's Baschamania pod, Willie said he talked to Melvin and basically he said it's not necessarily a guarantee that he'll follow Bo (the insinuation was that it is still very likely though). My guess (worth as much as it costs) is that Melvin will shop around and then Iowa will match or exceed and then he'll go there.
  21. I didn't hear him mention 149. He guessed he would be 141 because in the past his weight has gradually increased. The Intermat graphic projects 133/141
  22. Official. The future is looking bright
  23. Official: Oklahoma State!!!!!
