  1. Because isn’t the point of other countries’ dropping them so that the US will drop the tariffs on them too? Has Trump actually indicated he would do that?
  2. In terms of eventual NCAA accomplishments, probably Mike Grey. In terms of who I thought was the best wrestler, probably either Dave Morgan (2x D3 champ) or Dave Tomasette (4x NQ for Hofstra)
  3. Didn’t Israel do that before Trump put tariffs on them?
  4. I don’t know if they used the term “blindsided,” but Willie and Basch seemed to back up the notion that there was no indication Ryder might leave until it was confirmed Welsh was coming
  5. I don’t think he’s saying the “twice as much” was from ASU. But apparently not Iowa either
  6. @Husker_Du might like this one. At 24:00 the guy from Pennlive says that Wyatt’s numbers “added up to the perfect score,” but that he voted for Carter. Huh? Overall good convo though, which pretty much anything with Shane is
  7. Hopefully this is actually the goal. And China follows. We’ll see
  8. Better tell wrestlestat! https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/62936/ferrari-aj/profile
  9. Can he get a medical for 2022 or something? Looks to me like he just wasn’t the starter, but technically did not wrestle past 1/1
  10. Minnow is claiming the tuition and housing is separate (although Peterson has disputed his numbers) Edit: whoops missed that someone else had already posted this
  11. Can Figueroa still make 125? Iowa might be kicking themselves about getting Peterson now with Figs available (I know Peterson beat him but Figs of course has a better body of work)
  12. And it’s not just about t-shirts
  13. Well that’s certainly a “data point”!
  14. Well so much for “too big to rig,” I guess
  15. lol this guy is on fire
  16. It seems that a main goal of the tariffs is to “bring American jobs back.” But unemployment had been pretty low, that’s one of the few things Republicans couldn’t really rag on Biden about, so basically Trump is trying to fix an issue that isn’t really broken (and could get worse depending on how the tariffs effect employers). The main thing they could rag on Biden about was inflation, but tariffs are only going to make that worse. Even if they do actually “bring American jobs back,” it’s a lot more expensive to produce stuff in America, yet in most cases if it’s even possible to produce here (which isn’t always true), it will probably still be cheaper to keep producing it overseas but it will just cost consumers more. I think even a lot of Republicans thought Trump was bluffing about tariffs. Or at minimum didn’t think he’d go to this extreme. But of course people are now afraid to criticize him. Doing a quick search on x, even co-President Musk seems to be ignoring this topic. His only post with the word tariff or tariffs since 2021 was one a few weeks ago where he pointed out that Tesla is impacted by the tariffs.
  17. Doing some googling this seems like a good summary overall: https://www.avemarialaw.edu/house-settlement/ It does seem odd that it apparently doesn’t address Title IX. And here is something from a couple days ago from our friends at Flo: https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/14039570-how-will-ncaa-revenue-sharing-affect-college-wrestling
  18. The presentation was given prior to the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. Not sure exactly but I think the goal was to sell the mission of DOGE and voting for the conservative judge would have assisted in that
  19. The PSU forum is still the same as always…lots of people saying “trust in Cael” or assuming Rocco wasn’t offered any money. Even some of the ones claiming to know inside info made vague comments like “Welsh had no NIL demands.” That doesn’t mean he wasn’t offered something that he didn’t “demand.” Also it was funny to me to see people knocking Ryder by bringing up Facundo. But assuming Facundo gets a medical, he won’t have even lost any eligibility due to being on the bench.
  20. He probably did reach out to PSU first. But some booster probably also offered him something before he was in the portal. But yes, we don’t really know anything for sure.
  21. That’s what I thought you’d say. Too bad it’s a lie. Those numbers were referring to legal immigrants under the Enumeration beyond Entry program, which was started under Trump. But don’t take my word for it, here’s Antonio himself. Sorry, you fell for propaganda.
