  1. The reason was to take a picture of the license plate
  2. It’s not his job to point guns at anyone that gets too close to him either. I will say it’s possible it was a taser, which wouldn’t make it quite as bad.
  3. If he really thought he was in danger, he should have just drove away. Especially if the vehicle was actually equipped with sirens so that he could easily run the red light. If the “danger” is on foot and you’re in a running vehicle, getting out of the car seems stupid. You can use a gun to defend your property from home invaders. Not if someone knocks on your door like Andrew Lester did to Ralph Yarl. So you’re kinda proving my point: crouching behind a car is not remotely comparable to breaking into a home.
  4. I He said the lights weren’t on until he was already parked and reaching for something under the seat. To take a picture of the license plate…
  5. Lol. The person did nothing to indicate he posed any danger, despite you stating definitively he was a “violent protester.” You also implied that it was acceptable for anyone to point a gun at someone crouching behind their car (I tried to get clarification which you have not provided). My opinion is that no one, law enforcement officers included, should point a gun at someone for crouching behind their car.
  6. Yeah and some of them even get invited to the White House!
  7. Could be wrong but I believe the only one I saw that used the r word publicly (or said they were drugged) was the hockey player, and he said that occurred off campus. Guessing there might have been other accusations of that among the plaintiffs that were not public.
  8. Doesn’t seem obvious it was a police car. Are you backing off your prior claim that it didn’t have to be a police car?
  9. There was also an implication that he was giving them steroids (possibly unknowingly to the athletes) and that if he was reported he would then report them for steroids (and in fact the doc said he did file a counter-complaint against one of the staff that filed a complaint against him)
  10. I do seem to remember a lot of bashing of DiSabato when the story first broke.
  11. So it’s okay for anyone to point a gun at someone if they are crouching behind their car?
  12. Did the vehicle have anything on it identifying it as a police cruiser?
  13. Maybe he witnessed this officer do something illegal and wanted to report him to the normal police. edit: at least you removed “potentially” from your second paragraph to tell us how you really feel.
  14. Getting a gun pointed at you for taking a picture of a license plate. But hey, at least he was wearing his police vest
  15. Crazy that conservative social media trolls are STILL trying to imply Boelter was a Democrat…
  16. I don’t believe there is any indication that his crimes are why he committed suicide though. I just read an article saying the investigation found it may have been due to “pain problems”
  17. @Husker_Du, I’m no business lawyer but are you all allowed to use the Iowa State, UNI, B1G logos etc in your marketing?
  18. Wait, RAF signed both Beau Bartlett and Will Lewan? That’s…interesting https://www.realamericanfreestyle.com/#events
  19. Here was another that was going around the conservative circles
  20. My understanding is that technically they do only need an “administrative warrant,” but apparently that’s just something ICE creates.
  21. Seems to me it only got “dangerous” because they didn’t show the warrant.
  22. Did they inform him of the offense charged?
