  1. I'd guess he can beat Hynes at 141. He had a solid regular season last year (only losses were to McGee and Fix, beat Phillippi and Orine), but then I guess got injured at EIWA's?
  2. I could certainly see Fix winning the title this year though.
  3. Correct (that it doesn't matter). Rankings are not predictions.
  4. Because Vito just lost. I think I'd go Fix, Crookham, Vito.
  5. Crookham looks big for 133
  6. Well shoot you are correct. It was @Antitroll2828 and yes that was a dumb statement, but mostly because I would say there’s not a single guy that’s a lock to AA at 125
  7. Howard was a world champ too right? “Most talent” seems like an odd claim there.
  8. To be fair I don’t think anyone said he was a lock. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made the finals or didn’t qualify (if he even remains the starter).
  9. Yes, Minnow saying Figs will not wrestle
  10. Just watched the sequence. I would disagree with him that “that’s a takedown in high school,” and I’d argue there’s not much difference between high school and college takedowns (especially with the hand touch takedown now gone). It was close though (in both high school and college). But Rock was a former official, and normally his rules interpretations are correct. And of course love his energy.
  11. Or Ty Watters of WVU if a ridge doesn’t count. Maybe Anthony Molton (lava) or Jake Ice of Sacred Heart at 125?
  12. FWIW, wrestlestat does show Johnson as redshirting this year,
  13. Yes according to wrestlestat Johnson was 19-6 in 2022 for CRTC
  14. Missed that specific comment, but Rock Harrison is a national treasure
  15. I’m surprised!
  16. I was afraid this could be the case as well. He’s still got plenty of time to adjust though
  17. Ha you didn’t even pick that one!
  18. I keep getting a message saying it starts at 7:00 PM but it’s 7:22…
  19. This is pretty much me as well, although I never ended up starting for the postseason
  20. No I don’t even know if it’s true he’s not wrestling. The statement was a general statement and not specific to VT. was this video from this year? Looks pretty healthy if so
  21. Full media day here, but that was probably the most interesting answer (starting from a question about whether he liked the media which was interesting). https://gopsusports.com/watch/?Archive=8859&type=Archive I get his argument, but I agree with Askren on FRL that having stalling calls helps with making it more entertaining, because otherwise you'd probably see guys just turtle up after getting a lead. As Askren also said I too was surprised by Cael saying the new rules mean 'they're trying to get rid of mat wrestling" but then simultaneously saying he loved the 3 pt takedown, since I would think the 3 point takedown is contributing to "trying to get rid of mat wrestling"
  22. For a D1 starter at a top 10 program sure, but while it seems Wilcox does a good job keeping matches close, he also has quite a few losses to backups
  23. That stinks if no Andonian. It’s a shame that duals don’t matter…
  24. Gallagher over Andonian and Wilcox over Brady would be IMO. I’d say the only one that fits the category you described would be D’Emilio over Henson
  25. Noto vs Figueroa. Hopefully it happens. I have Figueroa if it does
