Is beau Bartlett leaving state college. ?
HokieDave87 replied to Caveira's topic in College Wrestling
This is a hang tight until more info comes out situation for me. I could definitely see Carter being the type of guy to do some weird stuff, but you can't be using terms like "violated" and "predator" unless you have a specific claim to back that up. -
Nothing in this video bothered me, I had a good laugh. People have implied that she led others to believe she had some feel good story and was actually good in order to raise money, this would be a messed up move

Thought I saw he was headed to Blair. Still could easily see Cornell. -
San Lorenzo Valley showing up with a full roster at Ironman next year?

I immediately thought of Louden Swain doing pushups in the hotel when I saw that haha ...and then got lunatic fringe stuck in my head, put in my headphones and listened to it real quick and now I'm probably going just going to do nothing and watch vision quest when I get home from work so she's impacted my Friday night in a positive way. Inspiring!

Tulsa is good for a big wrestling tournament, as is any mid sized city. It's great when you're walking around and the wrestling community takes over the town. Philly was really cool too with everything so close to the venue. -
It's been more than a few years but I want to say a USAW card was like 50 bucks when I wrestled. I think that's all you need to register for the Open (but I would've gotten tech'd twice so never really looked into it)
-
Ok I would actually have a decent shot against high school girls but I would probably tank the matches so I could get my lanyard quicker
-
Does she get the equivalent of a VIP credential for being a participant? I'd get tech'd twice in under a minute for a lanyard that lets me roam around matside for the rest of the tournament....probably wouldn't cut weight though, need to be at full strength

2027 Big Boarders

Nice, Niebert was fun to watch and that was a fun year for sure. A lot of guys out-wrestled their seed so it was definitely great for the crowd, I might've been nearby. Love to hear about Niebert having a positive impact with your son. Been following closely since the early Dresser years so a few ugly seasons but was very cool to see the shift from just fun to follow because I wrestled and becoming a serious program. Wouldn't say extremely close to the program but I get to a couple home duals, the golf outing, and usually one big road trip a year for nationals or CKLV depending on when I can get away from work and convince the wife it's a good idea. This year I might have to double up with Tulsa for the Paycom National Duals and NCAA's in Cleveland. -
2027 Big Boarders

Pretty spot on analysis. They have money, not billionaire backed or enough to buy the commitment but enough to give fair compensation to guys that want to be Hokies. Robie really emphasizes that last point and it's true. The guys that improve the most, whether it's Andy Smith or Caleb Henson genuinely want to be in Blacksburg over anywhere else. With the 25 class they lost one but the other 5 are very invested, already spending time training with the team, and one of them had already passed up the guy who left for "greener pastures" at the same weight. With the 26 class....well sometimes PSU just happens. -

I like the way you think. VT is looking to take a big class after being pretty conservative with the '26 class, should have plenty of room and resources dedicated to '27. They've had a good mix of highly ranked guys committing along with some of their guys really breaking out after committing so talent evaluation has been a big part of recent recruiting success. Burton, Weader, Nininger all had huge leaps after committing while Gaj and Seidel were already very proven. Wouldn't be surprised if they identify somebody who isn't very highly regarded right now but ends up being a top 25 big board type. -
Under the radar guys coming off redshirt?

NCSU has a few interesting ones with Ryan Jack as well. Thought he'd be destined for 149 but I think they really need to keep Buesgens there for their dual lineup -

He was injured in November, tried to come back second semester and was still banged up so they shut him down -

Sonny Sasso coming off of a medical RS if that counts. If not I second Pierson Manville -
Yeah he was DNC it was all set for UMD. I guess Oklahoma contacted anyways.
-
Bassett vs. Beacon Burroughs will be the most anticipated NCAA match since Dake-Taylor
-
PJ is really impressive for his age and experience but Yianni could retire yesterday and still be an all timer
-
Crazy part is he's likely not even a starter....

AJ Ferrari on the market again?

Anyone hear something crazy recently?

It's largely people pointing out things Kyle Snyder knew that they didn't until they read about it in an article about Kyle Snyder -
Sinclair has won too many matches between trials and both opens to not be on a team. Brutal sport sometimes.
-
Might be hearsay but academics could be an issue
-
2-3 depending on if we count silent commits that got swooped before they announced. James hurt, the other two weren't the best guys coming in at their projected weight
-
Lack of training partners has become a very common excuse for guys who aren't intrinsically motivated enough to reach their goals. Joey Blaze doesn't seem to have that problem
