Yeah Bartlett is a good win but by Bo's standards I doubt today would be considered a success. He's got the talent but can't just sprint forward the entire match against world class guys. Hardy and Blaze didn't have to initiate any of their own offense it was all reattacks
-
Him and Blaze are the same age and he's bigger than Blaze. He didn't get close to cracking Blaze's defense.
-
Bassett needs to learn to change pace and keep people off balance. It won't be often but at the highest levels some guys can handle his brute force and he didn't have anything when that happened today
-
Bryce at his best beats anybody in the room, his gunslinging style that everybody loves hides how technically sound he can be when he wants. Wouldn't have been surprised either way today. If he wrestles like he did today he can knock off Duke, if he goes back to the "create chaos" strategy Duke eats him alive.

It means quick visit. It was reported shortly after the article broke that it was in Snyder's texts, I'm assuming that's where he learned what it meant as that was the first time I'd ever seen it. -

To be fair did anybody know what the term QV meant before this came out? -
Today's was tough, I got really close in 2 and couldn't get there

I think they like Latrell Schaffer as the future at 165. TJ Stewart at 197 is not a good idea in my opinion I think he's best suited for 184. 197 does seem like a hole they've had trouble filling.

I think VT really needs Bullock, not sure any of our 174's are really big enough for 184.
-
I was optimistic about Wright but haven't heard anybody talking about him recently (as opposed to Crook where his name comes up a lot for a potential breakout year). He was steadily improving throughout the year though if he kept that up he'll be a tough out.
-
Desiante will go 174, Bullock is visiting soon for a 184.

I did know that. Props to Dresser for pulling his offer after realizing what kind of guy he is. Some things are bigger than sports. -

A lot of semantics have been argued in this thread about the tie in with prostitution and coercion. The side that has been more critical tends to believe meeting up at a hotel anonymously is different than having a groupie in every city. The anonymous hotel hooker arguably has a high risk of being trapped in a messed up situation. Michael Jordan's Orlando side piece is a consenting adult even if it's still not great. -

I would say he's doing a favor to the people that are being taken advantage of by not calling unless he's sure he's getting an escort that is of sound mind. In this instance he met up with a cop at a hotel room in hopes of it being an anonymous girl. That sounds like a situation where there is a high risk he could've found a girl who was coerced in some way. To be clear I am stating the environment that he chose to participate in, meeting up at a hotel room from an online ad, doesn't have a way to morally partake. I'd guess it's probably more difficult to find the escorts that are in an appropriate headspace to consent than the sketchy ones. -

Two things can be true. There can be an argument that legitimization would create a much safer environment, and also that the current environment doesn't have a way to morally partake without a high risk of taking advantage of women who are in a very bad spot. -

My assertion is that most sane adults don't sell their body by meeting anonymous men at a hotel. There is plenty of evidence that people do sell their bodies in a much safer environment so I'm in agreement with you on that. To your last point, yes that is awful but I'd need to know more details about this particular case before forming an opinion on which is more egregious. -

Fair point - and why I said I was speculating, but more often than not law enforcement and local decision makers have a reason. Most of these "stings" I have read about are either tied to a larger criminal operation or a strip club that is taking money and not paying taxes on it. No expertise here just what I've seen in the news over the years. This one could certainly be different but I'm sure we'll get more details on it as the legal process goes on. -

The illegal part, specifically online or on the street. You mentioned two avenues that are way safer than doing it on the street or some sketchy website. I assume you'd find a high percentage of people underage, doing it for drug money, or legitimately trafficked. I find this morally wrong. OnlyFans, a stripper soliciting a high roller, or other instances are what they are but if it's consenting adults it is none of my business. This part is speculation but I also don't see a sting operation being set up on a website that is linking up of age hookers and johns. Usually cops will only use resources if there's tax money involved (ie; a seedy strip club) or a bigger problem where the operation is tied to some of the more negative scenarios than consenting adults. I'm sure there is a reason they targeted that website. -

So the standard we're going off of is that the vast majority of prostitution is between sane consenting adults and the burden to prove otherwise is on me? I'm not a judge or a juror so I can't sentence the guy to a crime but my (extremely logical and widely accepted) opinion for the sake of this message board is that sane adults don't generally sell their body for sex illegally. -

I'm not an industry expert so I don't have statistics but I have a brain so I realize that illegal sex work isn't an industry that draws a ton of sound minded consenting individuals -

I don't think he was involved in some crazy trafficking ring but at the same time he wasn't born yesterday. Trafficking and prostitution go hand in hand, not many girls are out there doing it as a casual side hustle for the love of the game. Common sense tells you that you're supporting something morally egregious behind the scenes. -
This sounds like the thought process of somebody that never won the Hilltopper Classic School Boy division.
