  1. Please everyone show up, "we" need a dual like this
  2. I think it's a "death by 1000 cuts" thing for me with my lower interest this year. Everything people mentioned has factored in - PSU dominance, NIL, transfer portals, consistent lack of premium dual matchups, people never graduating via Covid and just kind of sticking around, watered down early season tournies, lack of action after following free a little closer the last couple years, etc. There's no smoking gun really and I still enjoy college wrestling, but for a guy who has been to every NCAA since 2000 I'd be lying if I said I feel the same way about it now. Maybe my change in life priorities is the biggest factor, but given the other folks with similar thoughts means there's something to it. So yeah it's different now but I'm not 100% sure why.
  3. Could very well be that Arnold is already moving down to 174 (maybe Brands isn't wrestling anymore this year) and has the descent rules and can't go there yet.
  4. I think he's going to the Midlands, don't remember where I read that but I'm pretty sure I did.
  5. Little was wobbly in the first after he fought off that TD out of bounds, I know they tested him but sure seemed like he had his bell rung.
  6. I still think the simplest (and admittedly not perfect) solution is to just 197 to 205. Easy to implement and an improvement. Could also go 165, 175, 185, 205 and 285 for round numbers sake. Easy adjustment in either case.
  7. Always a joy to watch wrestle, never shy to go big and his matches were always fun to watch as a result.
  8. I've never heard of butter on a Pop Tart, but am not denying that it's delicious. My spicy take is that I eat pop tarts unpopped, just open up the package and dig in. To be fair it's been a couple decades and I'm not even sure I would like a Pop Tart nowadays, but this is the internet so fight me.
  9. Welcome to the board! Very good point, while this loss may have put you at a bigger risk for facing KOT/Haines before the semis in March, getting that feel and knowing what you have to work on makes you a better wrestler in three months. Could go either way...
  10. Norman impressed though, looked like the better guy in neutral. Choosing down in the 3rd was a mistake, should have tried to win it in your best position.
  11. Come on ladies and gentlemen, stop engaging with this poster already. It's time, let's all stop... They don't actually believe anything they are saying, just put them on ignore.
  12. Or maybe he doubles down
  13. The "I choose top" decision heard around the world.
  14. When did Reader leave? I totally missed that...
  15. Correct answer, both have their place.
  16. Plus people often show up a little late to meets, they could have missed some or all of Steveson's match with him going first. People do make some valid points, so it wasn't a decision with zero merit. That said, I still feel like it wasn't the "right" call to have GS go first.
  17. Do we have any actual info on Teemer's injury?
  18. Seriously, why would you do that?
  19. I think the best overall team to win a dual is Surtin at 133 and Rocky and HWT while Walker and Sinclair man 125 and 197. But both those guys have earned the right to make the big cuts and fight for high placement at NCAAs. Their size/length are big advantages and I don't think either can place nearly as high at a weight above. Let the true freshman fill in while keeping their shirts, lose some duals that nobody cares about and let your veterans make the big cuts for March glory.
  20. Looks like it's premium content, requires some sort of subscription.
  21. EDIT - found a link to the stream on WresteStat: https://gobison.com/watch/?Live=4508&type=Live
  22. It was a good scrap and way closer than the final score. Good fight Brawny
  23. Yeah it sure seems like NC State cuts a ton consistently as a team year in and year out.
  24. I was thinking Bar Mitzvah
  25. So any news as to when we'll see him on the mat?
