  1. Or maybe he doubles down
  2. The "I choose top" decision heard around the world.
  3. When did Reader leave? I totally missed that...
  4. Correct answer, both have their place.
  5. Plus people often show up a little late to meets, they could have missed some or all of Steveson's match with him going first. People do make some valid points, so it wasn't a decision with zero merit. That said, I still feel like it wasn't the "right" call to have GS go first.
  6. Do we have any actual info on Teemer's injury?
  7. Seriously, why would you do that?
  8. I think the best overall team to win a dual is Surtin at 133 and Rocky and HWT while Walker and Sinclair man 125 and 197. But both those guys have earned the right to make the big cuts and fight for high placement at NCAAs. Their size/length are big advantages and I don't think either can place nearly as high at a weight above. Let the true freshman fill in while keeping their shirts, lose some duals that nobody cares about and let your veterans make the big cuts for March glory.
  9. Looks like it's premium content, requires some sort of subscription.
  10. EDIT - found a link to the stream on WresteStat: https://gobison.com/watch/?Live=4508&type=Live
  11. It was a good scrap and way closer than the final score. Good fight Brawny
  12. Yeah it sure seems like NC State cuts a ton consistently as a team year in and year out.
  13. I was thinking Bar Mitzvah
  14. So any news as to when we'll see him on the mat?
  15. Steiber beat 4 and possibly 6+ - Oliver, Ramos, Maple and Retherford for sure. Could have beaten Brewer and Dean Heil.
  16. “I just feel like it was my natural weight. Talked to the coaches. I think they wanted me to go 184 last year, but I can be stubborn at times and things like that. So for me, I think them telling me to do something, I kind of want to do the opposite. I'm guessing this quote from Starocci was before they got Truax, not after. Like a discussion after the season ended, the Star said he's staying at 174, then Truax gets brought in.
  17. That's gotta be the oldest lineup of all time right?
  18. Great news that Iran is coming, is this 92kg bracket the greatest non-Olympic weight bracket in history?
  19. Plus Parco's first transfer was because his program was cut, definitely gets the benefit of the doubt for that.
  20. He relied so heavily on the art of surprise with two moves that aren't common (inside trip and trap-arm that comes from a top setup), once people figured those out they've essentially been nullified. Scouting is so much bigger than people give credit for... Just like in college, his lack of a "go to" leg attack from neutral is his biggest weakness.
  21. DT is also the oldest by far and the only one moving up (recently) from 86kg. Plus DT isn't a full time wrestler anymore, even if he decides to go. This isn't prime DT by a longshot, plus he'll be (a little) undersized... That said I agree with you, Ghasempour is the most likely to go 0-2 in this theoretical round robin.
  22. Man, that's a rough one if it's a year or longer. Such a great dude and wrestler, I sure hope we see him back in the mat in 2025.
  23. I don't think that hand injury or whatever it was is new for Vito, but maybe I'm over-reading his reaction.
  24. But he was a 2023 medalist at a different weight, does that give him one of those semi-final byes?
  25. So he officially confirmed this?
