  1. I'm guessing he walks around quite a bit over 174 and cutting hinders his plan to be a proper 86kg wrestler for 2028.
  2. Disagree here, Dake and especially Taylor used to attend all sorts of events they didn't have to. As DT got older he competed less but was pretty active for a good chunk of his career. Lest we forget the Spanish Grand Prix jokes?
  3. Caleb Smith was a transfer from Appalachian State, before that they had Liam Cronin as a transfer. So their 125 pounders have been transfers for what, the last 4 years?
  4. What are the IOC regulations here? From the Flo article, it seems the "only transfer countries once" is a UWW thing and not an IOC thing. If that is true, maybe UWW gives them a one-time exemption for this given the national governing bodies change of heart.
  5. Can someone provide a link or summary to what this decision is? Thanks
  6. I'm more confused how Randleman has 17% of the votes, he had a loss and all regular decisions at NCAAs. There's 4 undefeated guys this year.
  7. I know he had a losing record, but how did Branch do at Big 12s? If he wasn't the "last place" qualifier at his conference he could have avoided the 32/33
  8. Indeed it wasn't, Stanich was not small there - making 125 must have been brutal for him.
  9. So Henson was 30-0 or so going into NCAAs and was only the 3 seed? Who was ahead of him?
  10. Great thread and enjoyable read, that is all...
  11. Kennedy won the match I was remembering, looks like 8-6. here it is.
  12. He was indeed, towards the end of his career he was up at 70 and maybe even 74kg. I remember him beating Nolf up there...
  13. OKST works for me, I'm guilty of using the other one on occasion and I'll stop doing so.
  14. OK interesting, though I'm wondering why he would do different weights.
  15. Sinclair is doing the US Open at 92kg, so I assume 197.
  16. I didn't mean to imply it was an option or plan! The more I try to clarify my crummy point, the more it gets misunderstood. So it's clear I didn't express it well enough and will move on - please strike Gantry's posts in this thread from the record please.
  17. Sure but it's a sample size of one, I certainly wasn't applying it to just PSU in the last few years. I doubt Kasak would have looked as good at 141 this year after he moved up for the team.
  18. Also, guys who move up for team or whatever reasons more often than not grow into that weight and don't look as good going back down. Weight cutting is overrated, especially for a guy like Barr who often wears his opponents down and scores late.
  19. Yep, my seats weren't too far from where Trent was standing for the finals and the whole match he was "shadow wrestling" and yelling support/technique. Honestly it was a blast to watch, you can tell how much he cares for his NC State guys.
  20. Bump, Stout takes bottom in the 3rd period a 0TD match, per the script he gets ridden and loses.
  21. It's really hard to say without knowing the full details of what happened. Or do we have all the relevant facts?
  22. Honestly Hamiti looked like the better guy throughout most of it but KOT just finds a way man. Only KOT doesn't give up those scramble points or that escape at the end. Great match by both guys, I think KOT had the mental edge to tie it and win it late.
  23. Paniro with only 1 loss at 149 and he just avenged it. Could he get seeded over SVN/Parco/etc?
  24. He really does, gritty escape and a much more enjoyable match than you'd think seeing the result.
