You're obviously pretty low down in the your company or simply trying to make your own industry look good. To say that insurance companies are completely innocent and blame any problems on the regulators is laughable. They have tons of control in what they cover and how they communicate to their clients and other stakeholders. Insurance is a complete racket. Probably the 4th biggest racket out there, after our military industrial complex, the banking industry and health care industry. I always tell people to just get the minimum insurance that you can,, don't EVER purchase life insurance, and just save money instead. These insurance companies make money hand over foot and they push laws that create significant barriers of entry to competition.

Also, your credibility was shot as you admitted that you work in the insurance industry. Busted. You obviously have a vested interest here.

I've also worked in the insurance industry and am very close to an actuary and attorney that have dealt significantly with that industry as a regulator and admin law judge, respectively. To say that insurance companies are 100% controlled by regulators is plain ignorance. it's that simple. They always have significant control over what types of policies they sell, how contracts are worded and the inevitable subjectivity that arises related to unique and borderline circumstances. Of course they'll get in trouble with the state insurance commission if they deny too many claims but they have PLENTY of wiggle room below that threshold.

Horrible. We shouldn't send money to them, Ukraine or especially Israel. US throwing money all over the world to help our corporations make more money at taxpayer expense is ridiculous. Our military is simply a steering wheel for corporate profits. They don't protect our own country at all.

Yup. Not true at all. The company definitely has some say in their own policies, such as which claims they can shoot down. The states regulate the insurance companies but can't regulate every last detail.
