Everybody knows that most of the water goes to agriculture. Actually, the non-ag water can pretty much all be recycled. Ag water mostly can't. But that's what I'm saying. The crops would be expensive to grow and the most likely outcome is that they'd more likely just be grown somewhere else in the country, unless the energy was taxpayer-subsidized. Then they'd also just recycle all their municipal water (similar to Las Vegas) rather than desalinize it. And not "everything is used in limited situations." Not sure if you're really being serious with that crazy statement. Probably not. Can they do it? Absolutely! But it isn't economically viable to do on a widespread basis. It's very simple economics.

Yes they have them, but they are only used in limited situations. There are a lot of conservation-related efforts that CA would do first before resorting to desalination to any significant extent. It's simply economics.

I would absolutely LOVE it if we just got rid of the entire dirty south part of the country. I wish they had won the civil war (they were too weak to win though). They'd be a 3rd world country and the rest of us would be much better without those pieces of toilet trash.

You would need nuclear fusion or a similar energy-related breakthrough to make desalinization a viable solution. AI and most other technologies aren't going to help one bit at making desalinization cheaper. It's actually a simple process in terms of technology. I could do it myself.

Several of my podcasts are conservative BTW, but several are considered "liberal" and NONE of them are complaining about this ad. They are: 1) Pod Save The World, 2) Pod Save America, 3) The Daily, 4) Ezra Klein Show, 5) The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart, 6) Making Sense with Sam Harris, 7) 99% Invisible 8)Up First NPR, 9) Ted Talks Daily. Probably others too since some wingers consider moderate info sources to be "liberal."

It's called "multiple lines of evidence." There are several factors at play here that are pointing to Trump being a pedophile that committed pedo crimes at Epstein Island. What Alex Jones is saying is only one of them. I normally ignore what he says but that would be pretty dangerous of him to make such a claim with such a litigation-happy President. Trump is going to suddenly just lay down on this one though? Makes me suspect that this one may actually be true but when I combine it with everything else going (including the fact that Trump has made bribery just part of his everyday practice) on I'd say >50% chance that it is.

Well, I do lean slightly left of center so the fact that it isn't showing up on any of my liberal News feeds is a very strong indication that few people are actually upset about this. Along with the fact that none of the liberals on here care about it either. This is mostly yet another fabrication of our right-wing media.
