I'm glad to see that people are finally waking up to the Israeli brutality and genocide against the Palestinians that has actually been going on for decades. Eventually our politicians will have to stand up to these thugs.

The problem is that the Uber wealthy pay LOWER taxes than middle class due to tax shelters and other business owner loopholes. The wealthy also get all of their money from the middle class and poor so some progression is 100% appropriate. A flat tax rate will result in even more accumulation at the top and hurt the economy. The rich don't spend most of their money. They hoard it.

You need to do your research. Bush made huge tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 whole raising spending on out fat bloated military and deficits skyrocketed. Yah tax revenue went up, partly due to inflation and partly due to economic growth, largely fueled by massive deficit spending. Bottom line: huge budget deficits under the Bushmaster, and then he led us into the Great Recession. Period. It's that simple.

Since there's a thread about personal accountability I thought we should be consistent and treat people in other countries like we treat our own people. We should enable/lift Israel up by allowing them to be accountable and come up w their own funding and weapons for their genocide.

How about this? Israel becomes self accountable and fully funds their own military and everything else?

It's more important to give $$$ to Israel so they can murder more Palestinian kids and to our military for their imperialism, which already accounts for about half the world's military funding. Helping the old, young, sick and handicapped is not nearly as important because all they have to do is just take accountability...
