He's having a rough year? I hadn't noticed. He's ranked #7 in the country at his weight and has a record of 6-2 with this loses coming to the #1 guy at the weight 4-2 (who is now out of the season) and another ranked wrestler. The biggest issue he seems to have is trying to hit a big move. Crookham took him down when he tried a headlock. He was fighting back against Van Dee and tried a big move again (gusmoke) and missed it. He needs to be more patient and get to his attacks instead of big moves. He has a variety of good attacks from neutral. I don't think he's having a rough year, though. I think he's fine.

None of those are labeled the National Dual Championships though. If the top team or two top teams don't attend then everyone can call them stupid buttfaces and maybe the next year they will. And if they don't people can just call them stupid buttfaces again. I don't see any downside of this.

I think they should let people from message boards apply to wrestle their message board rival in front of the fans during the intermission.

What is the problem if the top team refuses to wrestle? Just hold it without them. The winner is dual champ. If they want to be dual champs they can wrestle in the dual championship. If they don't want to be dual champs then who cares?

Plus if you repeat 8th grade you can spend all of your time at home playing video games! It has a lot of benefits.

Incorrect. All I said was that if Jason Nolf could cut 25lbs in a week I believe Gabe Arnold could cut 10lbs in a week. It was nothing more than anecdotal and was supposed to be fun. The first time I saw this interview I had the audio off and saw captions and missed the part where he said Bucknell and immediately thought the same exact thing.

Jason Nolf gave an interview a year ago about his last year at PSU where he went nuts over Thanksgiving and gained 25lbs. He said he was up to 182lbs-183lbs and had to lose 25lbs in a week. He barely made weight for Bucknell, got taken down and was really dizzy. He did mention he still go the pin, though. So going from 184lbs to 174lbs seems pretty doable pretty quickly. Here is the interview for those interested. I love hearing stories like this.

I won't disagree with you on him being unlikable. I completely understand why people want to see him lose.

I have never seen a guy with Starocci's credentials be so disrespected. First it was the NLWC All-Star meet where everyone was picking PK to beat him. Now this first year starter is going to beat a 4X NCAA champ? Starocci is likely not losing this year and getting his 5th title. No first year starter is going to beat him. I say this as a Penn State fan who thinks Carter is an absolute turd and when he leaves PSU I will stop rooting for him all together.

The NCAA has never had anything to do with NIL. The courts decided what was allowable in regards to NIL, not the NCAA. The NCAA has never had any say in what NIL is after the courts ruled on it. I agree that it's pretty out of control today but the NCAA, at least, had nothing to do with that. I don't know what the solution is but it won't come from the NCAA after already being told they can't do *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* about it by the courts.

He was a runner-up at 174lbs last year so what is the issue with him going at 174lbs? The NCAA runner-up lost his spot to someone else on his team? I don't follow Buckeye wrestling closely and was under the impression he was redshirting this year. Can someone fill me in?

If you listened to the critics of Cael Sanderson you'd think the PSU program has been in a downward spiral for a long time and that the program struggles. What exactly is there to criticize in regards to Cael Sanderson and the PSU program since Cael arrived? They have been the most dominating dynasty in sports over that time. The amount of winning the team has done and their individual wrestlers have done is just insane. Whatever Cael is doing it's working better than any coach in any sport in the country, professional or otherwise.

Do you think PSU is going to have any tougher time in duals in conference with this team?
