  1. Here is some quotes from a daily caller article. Not to kind on Trump for this Gaza deal. https://dailycaller.com/2025/02/05/donald-trump-gaza-united-states-take-over-israel-middle-east/ President Donald Trump is flirting with a poison pill that would ruin his America First, MAGA agenda. Tuesday evening, Trump proposed the U.S. occupy Gaza in his joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu... The day of his inauguration, Trump the businessman described Gaza as if it were a prime slice of real estate ripe for development. “You know, Gaza’s interesting, it’s a phenomenal location, on the sea, the best weather. Everything’s good. Some beautiful things could be done with it,” Trump said, also telling a reporter who asked if he and the United States would help with its rebuilding. “I might,” Trump said. Well, Trump says a lot of things that never come to fruition. It’s possible, even likely, that he is saying something absurd as a litmus test to shake things up and freak out the media before he pursues a more pragmatic strategy. Maybe he thinks his bold proposal can be used as a bargaining chip somewhere down the line. That being said, the very idea of illegally claiming ownership of Gaza is as farcical as it is insidious — and it deserves to be shot down and ridiculed. The 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza do not want to leave, and other countries in the Middle East do not want to take them in. How would the U.S. go about removing and housing 2 million Palestinians? It’s logistically impossible without sending in masses and masses of U.S. troops, spending trillions of dollars, and coordinating with regional powers who would not want to play ball, to say nothing of how evil it is. Let’s liquidate Gaza, and get thousands of Americans killed in the process, so Jared Kushner can build a fancy beachfront resort. Fantastic idea, and I’m sure poor people in rural Kentucky will be thrilled to hear they have the opportunity to spend spring break at the five-star Kushner Hotel, where they will be catered to by a Palestinian olive farmer whose entire family was obliterated by an Israeli drone strike. Trump is flirting with a bona fide poison pill, a foreign policy disaster, à la George W. Bush, that would do irreparable damage to his agenda. Bush 3.0. The Bush Junta. It’s Iraq-War level bad. Afghanistan-level bad. A reprehensible boondoggle. A complete waste of blood and treasure. Trillions more in debt. Countless innocent lives were lost, American and Palestinian. You can picture the neocons still swimming around the D.C. swamp, silently breaking the surface, poking their lizard eyes out and licking their chops. If only we could get another shot at nation-building. It will work this time, so long as we send in enough troops and drop enough bombs, we can turn the desert into shiny, beautiful glass. And in order to put America First, Trump must first resist the temptation of intervention, lest he risk another two decades of death and debt. Just thought it interesting a Daily Caller writer agrees with some of RVs positions. I'm not sure if DC puts in oppo stuff, but this would seem like one for sure. Like I said, I have no real opinion on this except I'm not sure how the US confiscates the territory. mspart
  2. There is no doubt. Succinctly put. mspart
  3. I just read that she also set up a task force to investigate weaponization of the DOJ, and to reinstate the death penalty. I have no issue with these. I have no issue with DOJ withholding funds from sanctuary entities. I also don't have an issue with prosecuting those who are obstructing the legal and lawful fulfillment of ICE and DOJ duties. Federal law is the law of the land. State law comes next, county next, and city last. I'm guessing the drug relaxation laws that have been implemented are next or will be changed at the federal level. Half the city of Seattle and Portland will disappear if they start cracking down on heroin and fentanyl. mspart
  4. What is she up to? mspart
  5. I'm not sure if this is a good deal or a bad deal. I'm not sure how the US can just go in and take over. It is not Israels territory to give to the US. It is Palestinian territory. So I'm not sure how this happens, and not sure if it would be a good thing or bad thing if it did. . But what they have now is not working well for anyone. mspart
  6. They had the land. They gave it in 2005 to the Gazans and left. And the Gazans thanked them by hiring Hamas and firing rockets ever since. They had it so your statement makes no sense. mspart
  7. This is the point. 152 - you are projecting. You obviously think white aryans are the greatest and therefore will keep all minorities out of the workforce. Talk about racist ideology. I don't care where they come from, I want the most competent to be hired, not because of other reasons that are esoteric. If 152 wants to fly on an airplane with a DEI hire, I guess good for him. I'd rather fly on an airplane with a pilot who earned his way and was the best to pick from. I guarantee you that 152 would not want to see me playing in the NFL. I'd fit strict DEI criteria. Short and white, certainly a minority in that workforce. No one wants to see that because I'm certainly not the best the NFL could do. Merit works everywhere. mspart
  8. He has not seriously said he would go to war on any of those areas. Panama has already cancelled their contracts with China. I think that will do what Trump wanted for the most part. Greenland will not be invaded, they are not an enemy. Mexico is only threatened if they don't deal with the cartels and Trump would only go after the cartels if he were to do anything. Not general war on Mexico. And Gaza, it is already a parking lot, what good would come of that. Panama - conceded Mexico - conceded Greenland - There's time for that to play out Gaza - I think Israel can handle that. mspart

  10. You'd think Netanyahu would not be standing any where near that nazi. OK, this thread has run its course. mspart
  11. Let's see, they are going after the criminal illegal aliens first (felony arrests and convictions). If they find other illegal aliens in the vicinity, they pick them up as well. Next, those that have had their due process and were ordered out of the country but didn't leave will be rounded up. There's a million of those folks. Then after that, if there is still time left in Trumps term, they will start going after the others. They will probably give them due process but in today's world, probably won't be what they want to hear. If you are illegally in the country, you get caught for that, good chance you are going back to country of origin. mspart
  12. Like Rome, Greece, Egypt, etc all the empires. mspart
  13. Explain this in more detail as it would appear to most that it is about not hiring the most qualified, in order to hire those that fit the DEI profile. If that is not the case, please show why. mspart
  14. You don't have much in the way of rights as an illegal alien as is being shown for the last two weeks. They already broke the law. mspart
  15. He's a teacher, they don't teach that stupid reading stuff any more. Maybe he can read this: https://apnews.com/article/naep-test-scores-nations-report-card-school-60150156e41b8518be3b6eabf77d0c66 mspart
  16. Yeah all those places are like free speech havens. You might get arrested there. mspart
  17. That's my point. If plenty of applicants that can't be hired due to some kind of quota system like DEI, then that needs to change. The issue at Reagan is numbers for sure. They were understaffed. But what if the qualifcations are lower now than they were 10, 20, or 30 years ago and NTSB calls that out. Would that be a valid thing to consider based on a thorough investigation? mspart
  18. I am asking the board this question. What does DEI hiring in the airline pilot world mean? What does DEI entrance to medical school mean? What does DEI hiring in the University professor mean? What does DEI hiring in the NFL players mean? What does DEI hiring in anything mean? In my opinion, you would automatically suspect that some folks were hired over those that were more qualified. Now that might not be true, but the suspicion is there. Now it could be that women and minorities are better at the job that all other applicants. Or it could mean that women and minorities are worse that more qualified candidates who didn't make the DEI cut. This is the problem with DEI. Do you want a less qualified surgeon working on you? Do you want a less qualified pilot flying the airplane you are on? This is why hiring and such should be based on merit. That way if you have women and minorities in the job, you know they were the best qualified. You don't have to wonder anymore. mspart
  19. What if the NTSB finds that all of the ATC folks were qualified, but that the qualifications are lacking and want them more stringent. Would that be a logical thing to do to reduce the possibility of future accidents? mspart
  20. How about him not implementing that Dec Plan until yesterday. There seems to be a cause and effect here. In Dec, Trump said he'd tariff Canadaa and Trudeau went to Mara Lago to discuss a plan. He didn't implement the plan so Trump said tarfiiffs tomorrow. Right on queue, Trudeau says the plan is now effective. Trump acts, Trudeau reacts. But you know that and still wish to provide misinfo and disinfo these boards. mspart
  21. She couldn't because she was in on every decision Joe supposedly made. She was attached at the hip with Joe. She couldn't say she screwed up the country. But that is what she said in effect by not taking interviews, not explaining her policy shifts, not doing anything at the border. She was a worse candidate than Hillary and that is something no one thought was possible. mspart
  22. Unhinged rhetoric, lying on basic easily looked up things, supporting the mutilation of children for gender re assignment, chemically castrating youth for gender confusion, not prosecuting violent crime, these are some of the things that will keep the Left on the outs. People are tired of it. Jasmine Crockett recently said 80% of violent crime is done by white supremecists. WHAT? Demonstrably not true. Calling Trump a dictator as Ilhan Omar has for things that Trump can legally do like reigning in USAID, setting tariffs, protecting the border. This is the kind of thing a good administrator does, protect the constituents, and control spending of consituents money. This kind of shrillness (don't get me started with Pocahontas) is not what the Ds need to be doing. The election was a rejection of that kind of mentality. But don't learn guys, that would be fine. mspart
  23. It is happening now, rather than when Trudeau wanted to do it or not do it. You can call this a Trump cave if you want, but the tariff was less than 24 hours away, a phone call was made and action happened. Sounds like Trudeau won? Hardly. mspart
  24. I thought so!! mspart
  25. Full quote: I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border. In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million. Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together. Before the tariffs were even made official, they were effective at getting behavior changes. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5124026-trump-trudeau-canada-tariff-delay/ President Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed to a pause in implementing tariffs for at least a month, just hours after Trump agreed to delay tariffs on Mexico. By your logic, Trump caved on Canada tariffs too. But only for 30 days to see if Mexico and Canada put real muscle behind their words. Playing them like a violin. What was the purpose of the tariffs again? Oh yes, getting the southern and northern borders better policed. 10k people from the Canada is an insignificant concession on Canada's part for sure. 10k from Mexico is pretty insignificant I'd say. Oh yeah, you are really catching him. mspart.
