Well said. It looks like this is what we have to look forward to for the next 3 years and 10 months. The fear that the country under Trump and company will be prosperous is real. You can see it all over on the news. I don't believe I've seen so many public officials swearing every time they are in front of a camera. They seem to be unhinged. I see desperation on the part of the leaders in the democratic party. They must derail any possibilities of success, or it might be 12 years before they are back in the White House. Just look at all the Tesla cars and dealerships they are burning and vandalizing.

Actually, I was wondering how a journalist can be handling what he deems as classified information. Especially when he doesn't have any clearance to handle classified information. I was curious why he didn't follow proper protocol once he had the classified information? How did he get into the group chat using his real name? Is this a common occurrence?

I would pay to watch that.

Weren't they issued cell phones (by the federal government) loaded with signal and advised on how to use them when they got into office. Are you saying the phones that the government gave them are unsecure. Towards the end of the meeting, I'm sure you saw where Hegseth had advised them to go to a more secure sight (upper level) for more info in their in boxes. Probably not his exact words.

I only bring up the FBI because Jross mentioned it. Report it to the FBI if you have it. I know this is going to throw a monkey wrench into this, but I don't believe there was any classified information in the chat room. Goldberg and a huge number of people are saying there was. I am getting the feeling that Goldberg by name was never invited to the chat room. I don't believe anyone in the room even had his number. Goldberg is not very supportive of President Trump or his agenda. So according to Goldberg if it is classified, he along with others in the room could be in trouble. If Goldberg was in the room on false pretense, he alone would be in trouble according to the laws stated. It's sad that for all the success of the mission that it is getting overshadowed by this.

It's not that he got the info. It is all in how he handled the information once he got it. There is certain protocol on handling this material. You can't keep it. You can't share it. You must turn it over to the FBI. Isn't that violating the law as stated? Journalists do not have special classified information clearance.

If it is deemed classified information, he didn't follow proper protocol in handling said information. This is according to Us law as stated above. It doesn't matter what anyone else did or did not do. I'm not a lawyer but the law is the law. Unless you can afford some really good lawyers and can get a pardon from the President.

I guess it is more what you do with it after the fact. If you call a law an enforcement official and hand it over right away is one scenario. Then there are a couple of scenarios that could get you in a lot of trouble. Selling the info to the highest bidder or using it for blackmail. Being a federal employee or in the military I would think is a little more dicer.

Thus, be more like a cat and land on your feet or stomach. When I coached my youth wrestlers, I instilled in my wrestlers to not fight all the way to your back. Be more like a cat. Sense danger early and get to your stomach.
